Didn't Gravy start two counter attacks and got chopped down?
He did and like I said I thought he was excellent but Mo yet again proved the difference in a huge game. In years gone by we’d have blown that chance to go 5 clear and complain our big player didn’t show up.

This season so far Mo have been flawless (Forest aside)

Get him signed up asap on a 3 year deal.

He’s worth every penny on the pitch and double the penny off it in terms of marketing.

2 year with an option of another 1.

That all well and good, but it doesn't make him MOM in my opinion.
Salah also messed up two counter attacks.

I think VVD deserves massive props , he sleep walks through games as a titan.

ALSO though, the ball for Salah for the first goal was world class , if that was Trent or Gerrard twitter would be creaming themselves over it. The man is just just a non Rodgers Rolly Royce of a player'

He played Darwin clean through and one was a great sliding interception.

But ya course everyone has a different definition of MOTM. For me it’s who has the biggest impact on the result and for me it’s Salah hands down.

So that was the first time this season that at full time I genuinely believed that were Klopp still here , we'd have dropped points tonight.

We kill the game for 5/10 min periods like Citeh and Utd in the 90s used to, game management is INFINITELY better.

Arne Slot has absolutely blown me away, what a beautiful bald bastard
Patience is a virtue - but too much of it and we could've been punished. We had the better players, however we sat back TOO much instead of trying to play the incisive passes we're becoming renown for. We could have killed that game off earlier, we were far more dangerous than they were.

Kelleher’s two saves had a major impact on the result and you didn’t pick him.

I didn’t think they were as impressive as others made out and it should have been 1-1 after he completely missed the ball.

If either of those headers went in we’d all be saying ‘Ali saves that’.

He still did well to be in the right place with a strong hand but ya for me the three mentioned impacted the game more so than he.

I think you have to be open to the idea that that style also heavily impacted Villas ability to do anything besides win a corner every 5 mins. It was noticeable , we killed the game in the first half in the same way and it's precisely what the best teams in history have been capable of

Salah’s assist wasn’t impressive either. Had Mo scores two tap ins you’d be giving him the plaudits which means you should give Kevin them too for what he did.

I thought Mo did enough to get top three but wasn’t in the game between 35 and 80 minutes. Nowhere near enough to beat Gravenberch who was involved all game.

They could easily have scored from one of those corners, this isn't the 1960s/1970s, teams will come out and go for it when a goal down with 15 mins to go. And Villa are a damn good team.

Good defending and Mo's goal at the right team kept us ahead, but it may not have ended up that way, and as the team with far better players on the pitch, we could've gone out and won it in an easier fashion.

Slot just confirmed that Alisson will walk straight back into the team when he's fit.

His run caused the Villa player to hail him down and var would have sent him off if Nunez didn’t get to it.

Thats impressive enough for me. He also put Nunez clean through later in the first half.

I already said he did well to be in the right place and have a strong hand.

Salah could shit on the head of someone in a wheelchair at the front of the kop and it would be enough for you.

Also CM are invariably going to be involved a hell of lot more than forwards as that’s the nature of the game. Scoring goals is always the hardest thing to do in football so it will always be given heavier weighting.
Also how can you discredit Salah for not being involved for a large part of the game then claim Kelleher should get more credit when he was involved for 60 seconds and in that time made two good saves but then gifted Digne with an open goal that he failed to convert. He had fuck all to do otherwise.

Ha ha. Nah, but this a big test and our best player scored one and set up the other in a 2-0 win. Thats enough for me. I totally understand others have different criteria.

If we were sat here saying we were lucky to win and it’s thanks to Kelleher he’d be getting votes, but I didn’t see the game that way.

Teams as good as Villa will always get chances.
