Maxi considers future

Argentine could leave Anfield

By Graeme Bailey - Tweet me: @skygraemebailey.

Liverpool midfielder Maxi Rodriguez has admitted that he is considering quitting the club this summer.

The Argentine has been restricted to just seven Premier League starts this season, but he has still managed to claim four goals for The Reds.
But the former Atletico Madrid ace is not happy about being a squad player at Anfield.
"I'm not playing the amount of minutes that I want to play," he told The People.
"When I play, I take my chances and do a good job. I score goals.
"I don't know if I will stay for next season, that's the truth. I will decide at the end of the season.
"All the people here have treated me well, but I want more minutes."

He's good on the ball.
His movement's good.
He scores goals.
And he was free.

You can see why he doesn't fit in.

Yet another inaccurate title for a thread. We're breeding a forum of tabloid headline writers.

It's just to keep you on your toes Macca.
Pretty much, yeah.
I thought should I go with the real headline or should make something up and possibly piss someone off for no real reason?

Stepped up last season for kenny with loads of goal, has scored this season when called upon. If only he was english and expensive our manager wouldnt have him out of the first 11. This has annoyed me all season so it was inevitable he would say something. probably an agents idea to attract interest.

Mos def.

maxi is great when we have the ball, I think kenny's conerns are more about maxi worth in the team when we don't have the ball.

Maxi has been quality almost every time he has played under Kenny. He makes things happen, and he makes the players around him look good through his cleverness. I suspect he's a shit trainer or something. There are loads of great players who have been shit trainers though. He definitely should have played much, much more.

Sometimes he's great, sometimes mediocre. The memory of the times when he's great makes me want to see him play more.

It is a weird situation. Same thing as Meireles. Both performed well, worked hard and scored goals yet found themselves frozen out. Ah well.

BUT WE'RE BUILDING SOMETHING SPECIAL

*says Dalglish as he makes a model volcano out of mashed potato

True. But they clearly didn't seem to fit in with Kenny's plans for this season.

Neither are world class players that are worth pining over as you say but they are better than their replacements.

SHUSH, I'M BUILDING SOMETHING SPECIAL.

This thing about playing crap british players ahead of foreign players that he didn't sign is one of the things that undermines the king the most in my eyes. How can this be?
