Ludicrous Rumours

Rodriguez was mooted as a possible target for the Reds towards the end of March, though it seemed little more than hopeful paper talk.
However, it would seem that this is not far from the truth, with Rodriguez expected to be an option for Jurgen Klopp in the summer transfer window.
Balague, during a Q&A with Sky Sports, moved to confirm Liverpool’s interest in the 25-year-old—but stressed that it would be difficult to convince him to make the move to Anfield.
“Of course they are [interested in Rodriguez], but they aren’t the only one,” he explained.
“Liverpool are realistic and I think they realise James is looking for a different type of team.
“But he is leaving the door open to all possibilities because he knows Real Madrid want to get rid of him.
“He would like to go to a club like Chelsea or Manchester United and he has offers from England and Italy but we will have to wait and see.”

Talking about Rodriguez.. anyone thought about Ricardo?

With Wolfsburg currently sitting very low in the Bundesliga, surely it must be possible for us to lure their best players like Ricardo Rodriguez? I have always really liked the look of this Swizz left back. Versatile, technically gifted, strong in defense as well as in attack. A steady-eddy but not the boring type. Haven't seen him play for a while but unless he's certainly turned cwap surely he should be on our radar all things considered?

If he's available, definitely - but he'll cost 25+ imo.

Ahhhh Balague with his usual "throw enough shit and something will stick" comments. He might as well have thrown Bayern and Dortmunds names in too, hell why not go all out and say "Monaco may look to take him back".

He's become an increasingly pathetic figure in the years since he fell out of favour with Rafa while Rafa was our manager.

I wonder if Wolfsburg's leaky defense, of which Rodriguez is a constant part, is one of the reason for them "sitting very low in the standings."

Can always put your trust in good ol'West Ham

West Ham, meanwhile, are interested in signing Lazar Markovic, the Liverpool winger currently on loan at Hull. Slaven Bilic is a fan of the Serbia international, who would cost £16million.

[article]Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea watched Sampdoria striker Patrik Schick in action on Monday night, a source has told ESPN FC.

Schick enhanced his reputation with a goal in Samp's shock 2-1 win over Inter Milan at the San Siro to take his tally for the season to eight.

The 21-year-old, who joined Sampdoria from Sparta Prague last summer, has played for Czech Republic at all youth levels and made his senior international debut last May. He has won three caps and scored one goal so far for his country.

Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund are also admirers of Schick, but the Premier League trio are ready to battle for the forward this summer as they look to bolster their attacking options.

Schick still has three years to run on his contract at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, but Sampdoria are bracing themselves for offers for the player this summer with the striker reported to have a £21 million buy-out clause in his contract.[/article]http://www.espn.co.uk/football/socc...anchester-united-liverpool-and-chelsea-source

Liverpool transfer rumours - Reds given chance to sign Brazilian midfielder

Liverpool have been handed a chance to sign Brazilian midfielder Anderson Talisca, according to reports today.
The Reds have been linked with a move for the 23-year-old who has spent the season on loan at Besiktas from Benfica.
Talisca has been impressive for the Turkish side but it appears as though they will be unable to afford to take up the option to buy him on a permanent deal in the summer.

Jurgen Klopp is, according to Turkish media, monitoring Talisca's situation and could now make a move for the player.
Besiktas president Fikret Orman said: “Besiktas do not have the budget to pay €23m, we will look at it.”
Talisca has scored 10 goals in 25 games for the Turkish club.

Elsewhere this morning and West Ham are being credited with an interest in Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic.
The 22-year-old has struggled badly since moving to Anfield in 2014, spending last season at Fenerbahce and this one at both Sporting Lisbon and Hull.
But Slaven Bilic is said to be a fan and is reportedly ready to pay £16m for the winger.

Contact Already Made – Liverpool Look to Agree $26million Player Signing

It will be fair to say that John Arne Riise was the last consistent left back for Liverpool and since he left, the Reds have struggled to replace him.
The Merseysiders signed Moreno under the management of Brendan Rodgers and the Spanish international is mainly a bench warmer because Klopp is using James Milner, a natural midfielder, in the left back position.
The German manager must solve the dilemma this summer by signing a natural LB and once again Theo Hernandez is in the focus.
Not so long ago, we covered a report (via Cadena Ser) claiming that the Reds have contacted Atletico and inquired about signing the 19-year-old starlet, who is currently playing on loan for Deportivo Alaves.
Now, according to Independent, the Reds, Real Madrid and even Barcelona have been scouting the youngster, who has a release clause of 24 million euros ($26million) in his contract.
The French defender has impressed big time with Alaves and could end up moving to a big club this summer. In 25 league appearances, the teenage boy has provided four assists in the current campaign.
Theo is without doubt talented but Liverpool need a proven quality left back to finally solve the on going conundrum.
The Los Blancos mainly use Marcelo in the left back position. Coentrao has mostly been on the treatment and needs to leave. Hernandez could be a decent replacement for the Portuguese international.

My friend in Madrid e-mailed me the story this morning - he says the Madrid press always talks about Atleti players leaving before the "Derby" ...

It's is rumoured that Roy Hodgson was in my pub last night.

The budgie faced prick.

Fortunately for him, like the time Rahem Sterling was in the pub, I wasn't there to tell him to fuck off.

In other LB news - No news so let's just make one up via the Daily Mirror:

Liverpool, Manchester City and Everton are all showing major interest on signing Schalke left-back Sead Kolasinac this summer, but Chelsea are confident of landing the Bosnian star ahead of their Premier League rivals, The Daily Mirror reports.
The 23-year-old’s performances for the German outfit have attracted a lot of interest from the rest of Europe, as his hard work-rate and strong pace and stamina can help the team both attacking-wise and defensively.

Theo Hernandez has all the qualities to be a very good left back. Hope we sign him, and if not him, Kolasinac.
