He offers nothing going forward and if we want to beat the teams we currently struggle against then we need more from all of our midfielders.
Our next 8 games Newcastle aside are against sides where we need creativity and goals.

We needed creativity and goals against Chelsea too. Oh and the defensive midfielder aside, there are or at least should be, another 5 attacking players on the pitch, plus two fairly attack minded fullbacks.

Nope, he's separated himself as an AM. So, unless Henderson is going to be played next to Adam which he won't, Shelvey won't get playing time straight away.
