------------------------------Mignolet--------------------------
----Toure--------Skrtel-----------------Sakho--------Enrique---
------------------------------Lucas---------------------------------
----------Henderson---------------------Gerrard--------------------
------------------------Alberto------------------------------
--------------------------------------------Moses--------------------
-----------------------------Sturridge

Think it will be something like that. Wisdom might keep his place though and Agger could come back in.

Is Agger back? If he is i'd play him. Alberto should feature at some stage.

Either Wisdom or Toure to do a job at RB for us. Interested to see if Kelly will come back into the fold. Sterling perhaps to take a wide role with Henderson playing in a more advanced central position??

I expect to see this:

-------------------------Migs
Wisdom------Sktrel-----Agger------Enrique
--------------Lucas-------Hendo
Aspas-----------Gerrard------------Moses
-------------------Sturridge

Aspas must play wide if he plays at all.
The number 10 role looks alien to him.

I'd forgotten about Sterling.. I'd expect it could be either him, Alberto or Aspas who comes in.

Sure I saw somewhere agger is out for an undefined period of time with his rib issue

Giz another go..

----------------Mignolet-----------------
Toure---Skrtel---DA/Sakho-Enrique
----------------Lucas--------------------
--------Gerrard----Henderson--------
-Sterling----Sturridge-----Moses---

I'm going to this one, hoping for a good game.

Think it'll be the same but Sterling instead of Coutinho.

No Coutinho, Suarez and a half fit Sturridge...this could be a struggle tbh 🙁

Would be a great 3 points if we get them!

If Allen's fit, he comes in for Coutinho.

I really want Rodgers to push Gerrard in to the forward position and drop Allen or Henderson into a deeper position - but he's shown reluctant to do that in the past.

That's because he longer has the pace and/or dynamism to play that role.

I want to see a line-up with more natural balance than the side that played against Swansea.
In a way, the loss of Coutinho (although a massive blow) will probably help us in that regard, as we won't need to shift central players out wide to accomodate Philippe playing down the middle. Henderson doing a job down the right I can accept away from home, but not at Anfield.

If the front 3 are Moses, Sturridge and one of Aspas/Sterling, then I'd like to see Gerrard as the most advanced of the 3 centre mids, he's the only one who carries a significant goal threat, and I think we only need one holding player in Lucas for home games against the mid/lower table sides.

I do have a hunch that Rodgers may find a place for Joe Allen, Our lack of substained possesssion in midfield was highlighted as the major failing against Swansea and Southampton are a side who like to play in a similar fashion, so who better than the man who never gives the ball away to come in,
I really want the lad to prove himself and give Brendan that good headache managers need of where to accomodate all their in-form players, and maybe allow Gerrard to be used more sparingly and it not seem like we've weakened the side dramatically.

As often happens in football, a player getting injured sometimes gives another player the chance to come in and shine, The positive way the season has started, who knows that may just happen with the likes of Allen/Alberto coming in and having a stormer!

Southampton have won four of the last six Barclays Premier League games against Liverpool, but the Reds have won the last two at Anfield by a 1-0 scoreline.

In the last five Premier League meetings between the Saints and Liverpool, the Merseysiders have scored three goals, all between the 43rd and 45th minutes.

Southampton have scored just four goals in their last nine Barclays Premier League matches.

Southampton have averaged the second highest possession figure this season (59.1%), Liverpool are only ninth (48.1%).

Southampton have allowed only nine shots on target this season - fewer than any other side, while Liverpool have conceded the second most (22)

All five of Liverpool's goals in the Barclays Premier League this season have come before half-time.

Rickie Lambert has had eight headed shots in the Premier League this season; three more than Liverpool have in total (5).

Reason was he'd just been kicked in the nuts-case of paralysis and fell like a sack of spuds.
No he wasnt.
If anything he assaulted Williams foot by throwing himself tadger first at it.
It was a fucking stupid dive and I hate the cunt for it. He has made himself unavailable for us for over a month because of stupidity.
Not that it matters as hes played like a lightweight over confident cocky cunt for the first 4 games.
Maybe his sit down will allow him time to reflect and regain his humility. And his Mojo.
We need 2012/13 Coutinho to come back.
Because 2013/14 is a bellend.

He moved the ball and his body in a direction to evade Williams, who left his leg waste high.
Now, not saying Coutinho needed to dive over it but Williams was booked and rightly so.

Bit harsh, but i do think he'll benefit from having to fight his way back into the team against Suarez, Moses, Henderson and Aspas. This isn't going to be an easy game tomorrow, a few people have been far too confident, i remember what happened when we were all far too confident before playing Southampton last season. I'd go with Alberto or Allen btw.

A win against Soton would be huge - we'd do without our two biggest creative forces (Coutino & Suarez), and we'd be doing it just before the league's best player (Sorry Ryan) would be returning ... his return would only give the team a further boost ... COME ON YOU REDS. Let's hold onto 1st place another week.

Sorry lads he dived. He was in mid air full on swan dive mode before Williams raised his leg.
A bit sad to see the apologising for him.

Post like that piss me off mate. We're not apologising for him. I know you're semi taking the piss ("If anything he assaulted Williams foot ") but i'll entertain it.

Williams caught him waist high, Coutinho made a dramatic fall alright but Williams was booked and rightly so. I haven't seen the incident since the game Monday night but I saw it as Coutinho evading an unrushing Williams who left his leg high to catch him.

Can't agree with that. I've watched it plenty of times, and there's one particular angle where you can see him spotting Williams' leg and he basically said "I need to get to fuck away from this cunt. Which resulted in a "dive".
