Liverpool v Palace - Pre Match Thread

I read some bullshit today somewhere - that Pulis is up to no good. He is talking up the need for his team to play well as it is the final game at home for them this season, and how Liverpool should be in the position of challenging considering that 100M was spent by Kenny and also somehow BR has also spent 100M so he puts the two together and says we have a 200M squad. I cannot help but think that there is a competitiveness amongst the managers which comes down to both jealousy and envy are the order of the day. I think there are many in the league who are young managers that don't want Liverpool to succeed because BR is young and is trying out these ideas on the pitch with good success, and it kind of highlights their limitations as coaches.

I still say we will fuck them up and put 7-10 past these cunts.

Worst post EVER

Not with Tony Pulis in charge mate.

Them voluntarily folding I agree - they won't. But teams have put 4, 5 or even 7 past stronger Pulis teams (Stoke) in the past, albeit mostly when Stoke played away and parked the bus - oh the irony. Happened almost twice every season, which makes it an uncommon occurrence but not in the realm of impossibility.

Having said that, 4 or 5 I see us able to get if things click. Anything more, yeah, gonna' be very, very hard. 10 is just crazy.

Gents, in recent weeks we've beaten Sunderland by one and Norwich by one and West Ham by one and we've been held by West Brom. ALL of these teams are worse than Palace, and you could argue that each team that we beat should have snatched a draw... O'Shea's last minute header, VanWolfwhatsit's late header and that penalty at Upton Park.

Calm down with the talk of 7, 8 or more - nil tomorrow. Let's just win, and see if City wobble again.

I think we'll win 1-2 or maybe 0-2. If we are going to win the title then it is on Villa/West Ham to do us a favour and certainly not on GD.

West Brom was months ago. And a win there, well, if my aunt had balls..

Pulis is a good mate of Fergie. No favors. We won't hammer them. Maybe if Studger was fit, but he'll be 75%

The only reason there is a small chance we could win by a big score is that in other games that we have 'hung on' in we relaxed after going 2-0 up (Sunderland, Norwich), but this time out no matter how many we score we are going to keep pressing for goals until the final whistle.

If we get the break through early and play well there is no reason we cannot score 6/7 but that's also dependant on Palace not parking the bus.

I don't think palace will defend deep unless we get 4 up then they might change tact.

All this talk of putting 7 or 8 or 10 passed palace is a bit arrogant to be honest. We'll do well to win at all. I'd take a shitty one nil win right now and be thankful for that.

Yep. Our best chance is heaping pressure on city by staying in there ahead of their match against the ever bipolar villa side they play on Wednesday.

If we by some miracle go 3-0 up then yeah, go all out, but that's very unlikely.

If we're 2-0 & suddenly decide to bomb on constantly we could shoot ourselves in the foot should they get one on the counter cos we'll be nervous.

Just get the game won, if city don't slip at villa then do the same at home to Newcastle & hope they slip up to West Ham.

I think city Will slip again so we just need to ensure we win by hook or by crook. On a side note, did I see somewhere that agbonlahor went off injured on Saturday? Not good news if he did

He's converted you hasn't he?

I'm gonna put a bet on 11-1 and quit my job afterwards on millions

I'm then gonna make myself CEO of Liverpool and sign Messi and Ronaldo

They'll attack us and give us a game unlike Chelsea did which will sute our game.

Yeah.

And while we were at it FUCK chelsea.... fucking no marks.... pull it out the bag for us out of spite then roll over twice and end their own season... Cunts, pure and simple.

The Pulis style football wont suit our defensive game. Set pieces and long balls.

Hopefully we'll get a couple of early goals.

Yep, a win is priority. Fuck all this "we're gonna win 7, 8, 9, 10 nil shit. If we go say 3-0 up early, then yeah, we should push for it, but until then, just make the 3 points a priority. City have to play again Wednesday night. And again Sunday. There's every chance they could slip up.
