My players were tired after the formidable road journey to Blackburn (40.3 Mile), the stereo wasn't working and someone left a window open near Fabio resulting in an injury while he was napping.

It was Robbie wasn't it?

That was the only bad thing against Thommo, I think he is great, but the way he and Ged fucked Robbie out the door hurt, and I was so happy when Rafa brought him home and he did a proper farewell.

With Thommo what you see is what you get, he will give them a kick up the arse if they need it, and boy plenty of them fucking need it!

He was great when he stood in as caretaker too.. I remember the spat with Robbie... And David Thompson having a run in with him and Ince hated him aswell, but neither story really worried too much as both players were hotheads anyway.

I absolutely supported the idea of appointing big Eck...last summer.

He's a very good manager. My one concern would be that he may have been scarred by having to play cautiously with Birmingham for all this time. I'd like to think he could remember the attacking formations that marked his earlier career as manager. I do think he's one of the few British candidates with the kind of experience we'd like (Champs league, proven in dealing with press and pressure), very good tactician. However, I think the time may have passed for this appointment. In the summer the fans would have accepted Eck and allowed him to find his feet. We would have been in a much more positive position in the league now, of that I'm sure. But Hodgson has worn the patience thin, and most fans would see it as another underwhelming appointment transmitting further negativity around the club. I can't see us going for another manager from a lesser club in the Prem unless it is one of the young bucks, Owen, Martinez etc.

I think McLeish could have been very good for us but I would worry about this appointment under present circumstances.

Read that Sammy Lee did the press conference for the B'Burn game, and he was apperantly at Old Trafford yesterday on his own.

Anyone that can confirm this? Adds a bit of fuel to the fire.
