Yeah, it was, around mid/end Dec. I'm afraid you might be right. However, they might take matters on their own hand when they deem fit, like how they appointed Comolli without previously informing/discussing with Hodgson.

we can't even use their previous policies as a benchmark as they are from a baseball background.

we're assuming they want a young hungry manager who will bring in new ideas and bring through the youth but the truth is we have no idea what their long term plan is.

That's true but, having spent £300 mill.buying the club, they have a massive incentive to get it right, and I'm encouraged by the thought that the emphasis they place on hard data will help to guide them to a sensible outcome. Yes, there's always a risk involved in such major change at any club, but I'm not convinced the risk is greater in this case than in others we've seen in football.

hopefully the debacle that is roy has put them (nesv) off a manager who has managed in england before (unless it's josé and he wouldn't come anyway). would be easyfor them to think someone who has managed in england would need less time to bed in.
