This is a woeful post, this exactly the type of stuff you been moaning about for the past few months to other posters.........

It was good win in a game when there was no pressure on us to perform, we played like this the back end of the season.

Yeah, woeful. Thanks for proving the point.

So Suarez was waving to the crowd in our final home game and now he's off? Thats very ott.

I think any combination of shelvey/henderson /Lucas in a 442 could work Very well for us in the future

It was interesting that they should pick up on Suarezs sillyness, truth is if Andy Carroll hadnt been such a beanpole Ivanovic would be looking at a lengthy ban for the nasty looking elbow he threw.

And Essiens foul was truly fucking shocking!

Shelvey was just ok tonight, nothing special. Still has a lot of improvement to make.

I agree, but you can tell he has a lot of tools and could be a very good player. He needs more playing time - I'd like to see him loaned out to a top championship team, or bottom half premier league team next year if he's not in Kenny/new manager's 1st team plans.

I thought Henderson was excellent again tonight and showed an uncharacteristic desire.
He has the potential.
Hopefully he fulfils it

I disagree, I thought he played well tonight, mind you when you have Maxi linking up so very well ( he will be missed and not just for his cool song... thanks Maxi and good luck!) and Carroll playing well midfielders will have more chance to get involved.

I do think however that Shelvey is much more mobile than Spearing and should maybe be playing more.

Oh well, it's all about opinions, but I don't think that is the best way to sum up his performance. It wasn't as if he was just chugging away. He's a diamond in the rough, he does some very smart things but also a few silly immature errors. But he wasn't 'just' okay. He's an interesting player to watch because he's such a work in progress.

Whatever anyone says, we played a fucking great game tonight, and that's all we could have hoped for at the start of the evening. And Torres stank like broken sewer pipe.

Shelvey is the opposite of Henderson in terms of his attitude. He isn't afraid to try things. He's always pushing, always probing. Sure, he'll make a few errors while he figures out the best way, but every now and again, something he tries will come off, and it will be brilliant. And the more he plays, the more frequently those moments will come. It's precisely why I have much higher hopes for him than Henderson, who comes out of his shell about once very six or seven games.

Not saying that either will attain the standard but I reckon that Shelvey will be the Gerrard to Henderson's Alonso.
Both equally brilliant players but one more eye catching than the other

Only idiots couldn't see Alonso was brilliant.

You all know who you are. But I don't see Henderson being anything remotely like him

From the horses mouth"I am not getting a new contract" Fabio aurellio shame he got injured so much. Thanks for everythings. Not that we didn't know it but he confirmed it tonight.

Very warm. I think there was lot of forgiveness in the air tonight.

Very true. His every touch was greeted with encouragement and support for the full 90 minutes. The crowd, as one, were disappointed his one shot hit the bar too.
