Sorry but you can't really just dress up that dross as unlucky, lacking a striker, hit by a sucker punch, blah blah. It's the same gutless shite that saw Rodgers get sacked and his team slammed for lacking heart. It was a pathetic performance in terms of identity and intelligence.
What was the game plan? We delivered quality crosses in the first half into danger areas with no one dominating enough to attack the ball. Then we bring Benteke on, get the ball wide numerous times and, instead of continuing what we were doing, we slowed the play, passed it back and more often than not ended up with Benteke deep, trying get hold of the ball.
Poor subs, poor lineup (Sakho and Moreno have been a weakspot for AGES now, Henderson is clearly struggling, Can is dead on his feet), fannying around when in promising positions, fannying around with the ball at the back and not attacking loose balls, shitting out of challenges, a complete lack of coherence in the shape of the team. The list goes on. Joe Allen (and I'm far from a big fan), has performed better than any of our midfield of late, but can't get a game in the league. What's that all about?
I can't wait to see what magic Klopp is supposed to conjure up in the Summer, because he's working with a bunch of wankers who don't know their arse from their elbow in the transfer market and it'll be the double whammy of handling the shite that they've helped lumber us with over the last few years, and their fucking brilliant scouting for what we get subjected to in this Summer's market.
