Left back - who would you buy?

He needs to be fit whenever we need him, its exactly the reason why Aurelio would be a poor second choice (and why we released him). Are you seriously telling me that after a season with Aurelio and Degen you would be happy settling for an crock as back up? Carragher was miserable enough playing third choice right back (or was it forth behind Masher), not to mention that Agger played left back more than anyone would have liked.

I would like us to get a very good left back, but the truth of the matter we have had very average to poor ones for long enough, so a half decent one whoever it might be will be an improvement.
