SuMo was savaged by the police!?!? No wonder the lad has an issue with authority figures.

I wonder what end of his truncheon he used?

nah i started the riots when Ajax won the title in 2012. I told them to throw all the lampposts in the canal as well whilst i got rinsed a few streets away

The only potential sticking point surrounds how the payment of the transfer fee will be structured, with Dnipro wanting more of the money up front.
Personal terms with the player are not expected to be an issue.
Lippett says he is hoping to get a deal done before the transfer window closes, but he has warned that such transfers can have “unbelievable” complications.

#Konoplyanka deal went from 50/50 to "unlikely" if what's coming from Ukraine is true. #LFC

PANIC TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Zizouology: Last tweet: #LFC want to pay Konoplyanka's fee by part. One part now, then after he play 50 games & when #LFC reach UCL. Dnipro unimpressed.

Christ, Ayre better sort this out

it's a pity we don't have the funds to pay up front for deals. I guess only a few clubs can do it and it makes things very easy for them . Did we do it for the Carroll deal?

Don't think so, because Newcastle knew we had money from the Torres deal, so I'd imagine it was a straight payment.

This would be the 5th major deal we've failed to make in two transfer windows. Mkhitaryan, Willian, Costa, and Salah.

We've clearly been interested in all, and been involved in negotiations. I understand the necessity of not being wasteful (but then we're happy to waste good money on stupid deals like Aspas and Alberto), but if it's happening repeatedly, there's clearly an issue that needs fixing.

Hope we end up making this work.

Seem to be some confusion about the quotes from hos agent.
This transfer will go on until right before the deadline.

Could be a case that we're skint and hence have to look at payments in parts.

I don't see how difficult it is to try and find players that we can pay off the transfer fee within the current budget.

Yehven Konoplyanka's agent said: "Deal very unlikely. We have a very good relationship with the president Kolomoyskyi. He doesn't want to sell.
"Yehven and his father respect that. It's very unlikely."
Anfield chiefs have been out in Ukraine discussing a move with the 24-year-old butRodgers indicated the move is not an easy one.
Rodgers said: "There is obviously an interest in the player.
"We will see how the day evolves, the staff who are over there having given us a brilliant chance of getting the player but it is complicated. We will see how it develops.
"It would not just be for now but in the future. We are growing the group. I am happy with the group I have. If it doesn't work out then we have shown over course of the season we can fight. It is the only deal we are trying."
Meanwhile, further reports have linked Liverpool with a move for Manchester City's Micah Richards, however, the Reds boss was quick to rule out a move.
Rodgers is also lining up a potential bid for for Malaga midfielder Francisco Portillo.
The Reds boss is lining up a €16million (£13.2m) bid for the 23-year-old attacking midfielder, according to reports in Spain .
However, a more likely player to join Liverpool is French defensive midfielder Yann M’Vila, who currently plays at Rubin Kazan.

Finally, Liverpool have rejected Valencia's latest bid to sign Iago Aspas on loan, according to sources in Spain.

@M_Cane: @LfcDan @GraemeKelly1 Yes! Known fraud in Sweden! Cabrera does NOT have a proper license! He is not Konoplyankas agent!
