i remember how henchoz went downhill, that was quick.

carra should be dropped but he won't.

Yeah Henchoz and Carra are exact comparators, Rafa should DEFINITELY be using that as a selection criteria
henchoz was an exceptional defender who would fling himself infront of the ball. i do think he and carra are comparable in many ways.

in any case i too would play the greek lad against hull. why should carra get special treatment? i don't think he's undroppable, do u?

Rage in 'talking bollocks' shocker.

So on the basis of a few iffy games, we should just ditch one of the best defenders in Europe?

Ok.

mark in classic put words in my mouth bollocks.

carra isn't undroppable, why should he be? i never said ditch and for the record as much as i like carra i don't think he is one of the best defenders in europe.

carra has had an awful start to the season. should players like carra only be dropped if they are injured? what is the purpose of a squad if thats the case.

get a grip

I think it would be an insult to Carra to drop him, especially after what he has given for the club. He will get out of this form, but i believe dropping him is not the way to go. He is our best defender. People would be against dropping Gerrard or Torres if they were in similar form. Reason been, we know how good they are. Carra is the same.

As backup. Thats why we bought him

And no way should he play ahead of Carragher.
Right 'cos players can only get dropped for injuries.

And comparing him to Torres and Gerrard is nonsense. A CB on poor form is much more likely to get dropped than an attacker, because there's more at stake when they make a mistake, just like with Goalkeepers.

I don't expect Carra to be dropped, but given his recent displays, I see no reason why he could complain.

He is trying to do too many things, instead f just his own, he got that injury heading a ball that was covered. He really needs to let the other defenders have a little bit of trust and worry more about his own area and doing his job there. Shout at them by all means, but don't go into there 'areas' and leaving yhis wide open and undefended!

I thought it was a shit header from Skrtel?

He still had the odd dodgy moment (as they are all doing at the back currently), but played much better than the last few games.

if he stood where he was supposed to he would have just helped skertel's poor header along.

got better as the game went on but hull hardly threatened
