Cold shower at Bournemouth

How quickly the attitude changes on here after a defeat. Very poor yesterday but still in the hunt for top 4. I dont think away to Bournemouth is the place were you start two young midfielders and ask them to control the game. But thats were this squad is these days.

Virgil was poor for the ball but has been excellent of late. I dont know why people spend so much time going on about prime/age vs quality. Thiago Silva is 38 and still one of the better defenders in the league.
Virgil has plenty of years left in the tank.
Silva is an exception. He’s spent many years in a slower less intense league and is now part of a back 3. The norm is for drop offs in their 30s. That’s what we are witnessing.

Top 4 is definitely on because those around us can’t get a run together. We’ve also got spurs to play. If we get another 5 wins from 6 run together we can do top 4.

Prior to our next 12:30 kickoff i hope Klopp gets the squad up early plays them ‘highlights’ of our previous 12:30’s. Guaranteed to be sluggish every early kick off.

We have 3 really tough games ... I think our season depends on how many points we get from City, Chelsea and Arsenal.

I really hate a 1230 kick off.
We’ve scored in one 12:30 kick off (I think) that was Fulham on the opening day.

Blue shite 0-0
Chelsea 0-0
Forest 1-0
Bournemouth 1-0

Next league game is Man City away at 12:30.

I actually fancy getting 4-6 points from those. They aren’t men behind the ball kinds of sides.

We, for some reason, seem even further from being at the races when a game kicks off early.
The Nottingham game was pretty much a copy of yesterdays game. We have our chances but cant score, concede and then struggle to get into the game again.
In both games Virgil is a few inches from scoring and the outcome is different.

Fulham too was the same to some extent. We just got some luck in front of goal that day.

Elliott and Bajcetic would not be starting for Crystal Palace.

Eliott, I maintain, is not good enough to be a CM. Bajcetic def has the ability to develop into a Liverpool CM, but he's not ready yet.

Oh and Darwin is a dreadful footballer. Shite decision making, poorly timed runs, average first touch and awful link up play. He's chaotic and entertaining, but often not in a good way. The front 3 needs to be Diogo/Diaz, Gakpo, Salah. Nunez can be a decent impact sub from the bench.
Nah— van Dijk fcuked up for the goal and not the two teenagers you singled out nor the other players up front (always the easy targets, in my view.) And then he butchered an easy chance to score a header gesticulating that he had been pushed 😳

Watching it back today I think its a combination of both Robbo and Virgil, and then poor marking in the box given that we were caught unbalanced. Poor all around.

Neither are a 10 men behind the ball and knock it long side.
Usually not no but they’re gonna analyse games like yesterday, quickly figure out where our weaknesses lie and do the same and if they don’t we’ll just end up beating ourselves due to shit housing in away games. Either way we come out with nothing.

City will beat us by at least 3 goals. I think Chelsea will win narrowly. We have a chance against Spurs and Arsenal, just by virtue of being at home and these players being shitbags who go to pieces when they step 50 yards outside of Anfield.
