What do people make of this lad?

I think he's fantastically overrated and injury prone.

You?

He's a solid, good player when healthy. Never as good as made out, and Arsenal would be wise to try and get 30-40 million from Citeh for him!

I really don't know, for a while I thought he was properly good, a real driving force of tippy tappy goodness in that Arsenal side. But so much time and so many injuries have passed I don't know if he's lost something or he was never that good in the first place.

He's a whingey wee arsehole, no doubt, but some sides need those.

Quality player, would snap him off arse if they were looking to sell him in the summer for 25 million

When fit (lol) he strikes me as inconsistent. On his day, absolutely sensational, but a majority of the time he just doesn't do anything

The only things Joe Cole and Wilshere have in common are height, injuries and smoking.
Wilshere is a bit inconsistent but he's brilliant.

And Joe Cole was never brilliant or inconsistent?

You pretty much backed up my point

You didn't make a point though. Just a lazy half-baked opinion.

Which I guess is in alignment with everything else you offer.

Tell us why you don't rate Wilshere Ross.

2 very good games in every ten doesn't make you a great player.

He's a unique talent in some ways but doesn't show it often enough - never mind him only making it onto the field half the time.

Too little return for the level of talent and money arsenal pay him

Very good player but needs to step it up a level now, seems like he's coasted for a while (maybe just injuries?)

Not sure why he's so disliked on a personal level. He seems alright to me.

He's had a horror run of injuries (hence your tenuous Joe Cole comparsion I imagine) which have disrupted his football over the last 2-3 years, but you can tell when he does play that he's a cut above your average midfielder. The guy's the best English midfielder alive, and while that doesn't always allow for greatness, it tells you something about his ability.

I know you don't go in for the small nuances of the game, but I'm fascinated by him. To be able to play in the centre of midfield with shit coming at you from 360 degrees, and to still be able to play at the pace he wants to play, to use the ball the way he does, and to manage to keep your head up at all times whilst the ball's glued to your feet are serious attributes. He's a natural footballer. He's a natural footballer, and he's wonderfully gifted.

He could play in any side in the world in my view.

I'd take Ramsey over him any day.

Too many injuries, sh*t attitude, gets completely bypassed in too many games.

Another overhyped English player that doesn't live up to the name the London press gives him.

There is obvious talent there he's far too great a risk to ever want him.

On a side not its laughable that people claim Joe Cole was never brilliant. What a player at Chelsea he was.

I think its harded to compile a more cliche filled trash in a single post than this.....and i dont even rate Wilshere....

However, you'd write something similar about Allen. Sometimes a bit of athleticism is needed.

A good mentality would help too. He's a sniveling little snot who constantly thinks he's being hard done by.

Oh I don't know about that, I think its harder to compile more cliche filled trash in a single thread than some of the OTT glowing accolades he's being afforded here. I wouldn't say Ross' description was the worst or most embarrasing by any stretch.

Read that again in Brendan Rodgers' voice.

Has he just had his bi-annual good game? He's overrated beyond belief, all potential, little substance, oh and he's a cry baby wanna be thug too, literally the complete Arsenal player.
