Utd to make the semi's of the CL to keep Moyes in the job for another year.

If they finish outside the top 4 which is looking incresingly likely with every passging week he could well be sacked.

However if they have a deep run in Europe it could save him for another year which I think long term would be a great thing for us and every other team in England.

I think when the time comes and if we are fighting for 4th place in the league you would want Utd knocked out of CL as early as possible.

Imagine having to watch Utd in the semi's or final of CL knowing that if they win it they could take our CL qualification spot.

As long as they don't win it then i couldn't give a crap, said in another thread that looking at the bigger picture it was good to see them win tonight.

Just hope Moyes is there for 12/13 more games, by then hopefully any chance of CL football for them next year will be over and the damage would be done, even if they did get a good manager in Van Persie and Rooney would most likely be off and bar Van Persie they have been struggling for quite some time to attract the real top talent, that certainly won't be changing with no CL football on offer and an unappealing weak looking squad.

Its very simple - I want Utd to lose every match they play. If they win then maybe the silver lining can be that it keeps Moyes in a job for another week, but never want them to win.

In fact I want Moyes to get sacked, and them to replace him with another hapless manager (Hughes), and give up on him. Then for Mourinho to come in, screwing up Chelsea, but also failing spectacular due to lack of funds & CL. Finally for the tramp to come out of retirement to try & save them from relegation only to fail & destroy his legacy.

Then for a nice long barren spell, only make it a bit more than 26 years this time round, it ended all too soon the last time

I want Utd knocked out of the CL and they're more than welcome to make the finals of the Europa League and lose.

Moyes MUST keep his job 🙂
Unfortunately I remember standing on the Kop in December 1989 (I think) during a 0-0 draw with Utd chanting "Fergie must stay" to wind up the mancs. A month later they got a flukey win against Forest in the FA Cup 3rd round and ....

Part of me wants them to sack him to make all those arrogant twats who always said "Man U is a proper club where we stand by our managers through thick and thin" look like the pretentious knobs they are.

The notion that the decision makers at Utd will be 'fooled' into keeping him there if they progress this far, that far, win this, win that is stupid.
He's getting a season at least, barring near relegation

Whether Moyes is there or not, they need to address their aging key players.
I want them knocked out of the CL ASAP to stop them getting more money from the competition.
And I want to see them fail to make the CL next season so they have even less money to spend on replacing those positions.

Wonder if there is a break clause in Moyes contract, otherwise it will be a massive payout if they get rid.....

Even of he's on 5m a year for the following five years, it's still a smaller payout than the cost of missing the CL.

Not even accounting for the fact that if he gets another job, it at worst reduces the cost to United.

If Moyes gets sacked mid-season, which I hope he does, then what genuinely good manager would drop everything to replace him? Not even Maureen, surely. So they'd probably need a caretaker until the summer. All the big egos in the team would cause havoc. And in the summer, not many managers would fancy going into such a situation. And on and on the saga would go. So lose every game now, Davey.

I don't mind them winning some games. In the knock outs of the CL, I hope they get battered 5-0 in the first leg, then winning the next leg 1-0 would be fine by me. Obviously, I'd prefer they get battered again in the second leg, but wouldn't mind too much as long as they went out.

As for the league, I don;'t agree with wanting them to finish 5th or 6th, anything outside of Europe would be great, and ensure that they'll struggle to convince any good players to come to them in the summer, especially if they stick with Moyes.

No way. I want them playing Thursday night football thank you very much.

Nah, I know most don't think it, but playing in a European competition will generate more income and help them attract some players. I want them to finish 9th or worse, we haven't finished that low in 50 or 60 years.
