The sooner Enrique's back the better.
Liverpool have made some bad purchases for two summers running but the loan signing (with option to buy) of Cissokho, a horrible footballer and possibly the worst defender to play for us, ever, as a replacement for Enrique seriously has me questioning the wisdom of the cunts in the transfer committee.

That's way too harsh

The fact he's a loan signing suggests that the Transfer Committee was wise to the possibility that he would turn out a dud.

If he was viewed as a certainty we'd have bought him outright. Good thinking there by the Transfer Comm imho.

Gerrard in a deeper role, with Allen further forward and Henderson in the mix will be interesting. If Allen can reproduce his form just before the injury.

A guy who can't defend one on one to save his life shouldn't have even been considered really. As it stands I think we've paid a loan fee plus whatever his wage is, likely to be close to a couple of million for the season.
He's utterly shit.

If I remember correctly, Valencia were trying to get us to buy him outright during the summer.

I think he's done his job as LB cover okay, he was never signed to be the starter after all. I imagine he's ended up seeing a lot more first team minutes, especially in important matches, than was anticipated due to Enrique having such a long term injury.

And Skrtel and Agger.

Skrtel and Agger are very poor defenders. They make decent center backs because of their individual attributes(Strength and ball playing ability), but aren't very good at defending individual players.

I raise you Bjorn Tore Kvarme

That's every defender we have bar Sakho and Kolo.
Cissokho got injured straight away when he came in, taking Enrique's place, which is when Enrique started playing again. I think he was brought in as a replacement.
I'd like to know how often anyone has seen Enrique being skinned by any top winger, never mind Charlie fucking Adam that Cissokho couldn't handle.
The sooner Enrique's back, the better. And the sooner we let go of the useless lump Cissokho the better.

Well what I was trying to point put before Doc got all excited by his hand and Junior went off on one re. Cissohko is that within 2 weeks we will have Enrique / Flannagan / Sakho and Allen all back ! Now that is exciting ! Fingers crossed the rest of team stays fit because with 1 or 2 signings this January we will have a strong squad for the last 3 months of the season 🙂

Flanno will definitely play against Everton IMO - always good to get the local lads on the pitch for that one!

He has a CL winners medal but Djimi Traore is up there as one of the worst defenders we have ever had, remember one game in the UEFA Cup when everything was going wrong (not an unusual occurance for Djimi) he couldn't even pass 5 yards without fucking it up, in the end everytime he got the ball Gerrard would run over to him and take it off his toes, Gerrard done that multiple times, never seen anything like that before or since.

Watched the 05 CL final last month again for the first time in a couple of years and i had forgotton how bad he really was, the first half he was beyond abysmal, everything he done was a hinderence to the team, he redeemed himself a bit in the 2nd half with that goal line clearance but really he had no buisness being on that pitch or in our team for any game let alone a CL final.
