I'm probably the only person who thinks this....

The top ranked 32 teams in the world should go to the world cup (therefore ending the meaningless friendly)

How do you rank the teams then? Without Friendlies no new teams will ever enter the top 32.

Apologies if your point is that you only want to see the same 32 teams in every tournament.

But how would that 32 change without those friendlies?

Something like the final 8 from each regional tourney (e.g. Euros, Copa) all go into the WC.
The friendlies would still happen, but they wouldn't be meaningless. Every match would matter

But wouldn't that result in an awful lot more friendlies as the current system values quantity of wins in addition to quality of wins.

No No No.
Im not saying scrap friendlys chaps, Im saying teams would be forced to compete in friendlies to push their rankings up.
My original idea was that we should scrap all midseason Internationals, then between May and June international teams are allowed to play as few or as many friendlies as they like but obviously they have to try to get into the top 32 at the end of each middle summer in order to qualify for the bi-annual tournaments.

It would mean less games in a season and no more boring summers.
Teams would want to play better teams too.
Ive long thought this would be a great re-vamp of international games.

Ah ok. It would appear you have put some thought into this. I must retire to my drawing room to ponder the potential ramifications of such a system.

I likes this idea. Lots & lots.

75% of players are on coke and know full well when their 'random' drug tests are happening so they can keep their noses clean for that week.

Given our options and lack of form to players in the middle, I'd like to see how Carragher performs in a defensive midfield role.

I'd like to see McLaughlin more involved and Suso in centre midfield but I think i'm not on my own with these..

We would be in better shape now had we signed Gareth Barry when Rafa wanted to.

Not signing him set off the type of outlandish chain reaction that leads to things like Death Stars being blown up.

I can explain further the logic behind the impact that led us to mistake this massive implosion for our "moment of triumph".

Shorts should be short. The clue is in the name. The current "shorts" must be outed as knee breeches and burnt in a public ceremony amidst old photographs of players from the 1930s.

Do you like a bit of leg GK?

Every team should have to field at least 4 home grown players in every game.
