I'm probably the only person who thinks this....

If you have a football opinion that you think no one is likely to share, put it in this thread so we can see what a deluded fuckwit you are.

It can be about anything football related - a player you rate that everyone else thinks is shit (Downing would fit right in at Barca), or a hypothetical (if Houllier had stayed we'd have won the league by now) or whatever, the only condition is you think it's an opinion that is unique to you...

I'll start:

I think corruption is endemic in English football.

I think all players who go for that 'sneaky' corner when the ball is placed just outside the arc - as if that's going to make a hell of a lot of difference - should be shot like dogs for their mixture of bovine stupidity and lack of originality.

I suspect drug taking, of both the performance enhancing and recreational variety, is widespread in English and much of world football.

Is it only players who are in match day squads who get tested for drugs? If so there must be a lot of it going on when people are out injured.

I think all pitches should be the same size, between 90 and 120 metres x 45 and 90 metres is a bit mad

We should scrap the offside rule.
We should sign Lampard.
The top ranked 32 teams in the world should go to the world cup (therefore ending the meaningless friendly)

Chuck Adams could have made it as a Liverpool player and if he was still with us, he'd be our best midfielder bar Gerrard.

I don't think there should be any provision in terms of red/yellow cards for dangerous play. It's irrelevant to the match at hand. Better to leave that to video review after games combined with genuinely punitive punishments (talking 10+ game bans) and leave the in game punishments simply for correcting injustices.

Players only make <5 minute appearances as they split their appearance fee with the manager.

But how would that 32 change without those friendlies?

Something like the final 8 from each regional tourney (e.g. Euros, Copa) all go into the WC.
