...Masherano and Kuyt will be sold this transfer window and considering the fact that we need a lb and a striker: How would you solve these holes? Would you try to fill them all with new players or try someone in our existing squad? Could the money from Mascherano (let´s say £21m for him and £13m for Kuyt ) "save" our season?
I´d go for:
DM: L.Diarra
RM: - (Maxi, Pacheco)
LB: Salcido
S: Toivanen

To be fair, 13 mill for Kuyt is good business for us. The last few seasons he has been in form max 2 months each season. The rest he has occupied a regular place in the team in decline. Hence he is offering less to the team that we can get for 13 mill +.
Mascher for 21 mill is bad business. However as he is desperate to leave we probably better cash in and move on instead of seeing the teams morale be affected even worse. It is very very diffucult to replace him, especially seeing that Roy fucking Hodgson prefers midfielders who is totally unable to dictate any play, just hang on to maybe destroy others. I cant see him getting a decent midfield general in ths window and we will be stuck with poor poor Lucas and very limited Poulsen as alternatives in CM. Diarra/Gago could have comed in as they seem out of favour. However I am unsure Hodgson is a man buying this kind of players, as well as deploying them into the team with our team aiming to keep the ball and create things for ourselves. I am very worried.
