I think he had a very good formula last year with Suarez-Meireless-Maxi ... He's not really given that 'way' a go this season.

I personally think he performs better on the right hand side of the two CB's and having a natural left footer next to him only helps.
 
Hi All

Watching today's game was like watching a game from the 80's. I am relieved that we won the game - because we DESPERATELY needed the win. Have not got anything good to say about today just yet - still thinking about it. The only thing that comes to mind is that Raul with his haircut really does look like Jason Bent (100% Bent - from Lee Nelson show).

When he played alongside Sami he looked good aswell, but Sami comfortably played the left centre back role. They partnered each other when we snotted United 4-1 at their shit hole. I just think him and Carra are two similar, they're both typical gritty centre backs who get stuck in. That said, I thought he was great in the air today, he won most of his aerial duels and didn't just let it bounce of his head, he won it and cleared it. They look a good partnership, though most of us have called for it to be seen in action for years now and we haven't really had the opportunity.
 
Did anyone else think Luiz shouldn't have been on the pitch?

Raising his arms against Dirk should have been a yellow - it could have been a red, that's why you get people who roll around on the floor acting like they've been shot - because if you don't react nothing gets given.

That added to the yellow later and he should have walked IMO
 
Yep, because Dirk isn't a wet fart, he didn't pretend his eye socket had been blown out, thus saving that psychotic Brazilian from an early bath.

Agreed, when I seen the Chelsea team I immediately felt more confident.
Alex is a far, far better CB than Luiz. And Brave JT for that matter.
 
Alex is a beast in both boxes.

VERY competent defender who wasn't even in the Squad today for them. .

I'd fuck off mikel and Malouda asap if I were AVB. They offer nothing to Chelsea.

Infact, Im struggling to think of Chelsea players I'd actually want; Mata has been meh to the extreme since since he's been there..

Stands 10 yards ahead of Big Brave John Terry looking lost. He's shit and i'm amazed he's been a regular for Chelsea for a good 4 or 5 years.

People talk about the lack of pace in our side and it is a concern but fuck me where's the pace in this Chelsea team? Cole and Sturridge aside, they're badly lacking in that department.

by the way there were a couple of people on here after Fulham away tkets and I got them
 
You know what - I think the only way we will get a top 4 finish is if all the other teams become top contenders for the title - because we seem to only do well against the top sides and very wasteful against the average side. So I am predicting a win next week and if the next team after that in the PL is the seventh placed team or greater then I expect us to draw.

Nah. No harm to Kuyt and no big deal to talk about. You want to see a intence hard fight for the game, and you will not see that with people sent of for harmless faults.
 
I know a lad who thinks Mikel is one of the best midfielders in the world.
 
Can I just ask - is there anyone else who is in kind of a shock after this victory - I mean its like 2 seasons in a row that we have won at their place !!! F*CK I am still wetting myself after that.
