Aspas will head to his new destination with barely any knowledge of the local language he will have to use: "I hope Reina, Suso, Dani Pacheco, Luis Suárez, Coutinho, Lucas Leiva and José Enrique help me at the beginning".

About three of them will be left when the season starts.

Though your dreams be tossed and blown... Aspas' move to Liverpool will have to wait

Liverpool’s chase of Iago Aspas is STILL not complete, and a contractual dispute has threatened to derail the whole deal.
The Reds discovered on Friday that the agents with whom they had been negotiating Aspas’ transfer from Celta Vigo were not his contracted representatives.
The revelation lead to frantic phone calls between the Anfield giants' managing director Ian Ayre, Celta and Aspas’ official agent - with whom he has a contract until 2014.
Contrary to reports elsewhere, we can reveal that no deal has been struck between the clubs for the Spanish forward, but it is a question of days until an agreement is reached.
The deal is, however, likely to be held up by legal wranglings with the other agents possessing an authorisation document signed by the player in an attempt to hurry through his dream move to Merseyside.
All sides are keen to avoid a drawn-out legal saga, especially Liverpool, who want to get their summer transfer business done early - Sporting Lisbon defender Tiago Ilori is expected to sign next week.
Aspas' official agent has the backing of the Spanish football federation and Celta themselves.
With Liverpool now speaking to him directly, an accord should be struck by next weekend - provided the other agents agree to withdraw their claim to any proceeds from the move.

Im a Celta de Vigo fan, and Iago Aspas is god for us. Its not about how many goals he scored each season. Its about when he scored that goals, when he played the first minutes with the team he scored 2 goals for safe our team from dissapear. He wasnt a striker till the last 2 seasons, we had Michu and Iago in our team in second division...and Iago is 10 times better than michu, he works more, he is faster, he is always giving support to the teammates and he is a genious with the ball. Enjoy him

This is probably the longest transfer of the summer. I thought that we signed this lad 2 weeks ago already. Hope that big head will be used as a battering ram for corners. has "GOAL THREAT" written all over it.
