Where do you get the idea it is written by scouse haters? I've never thought that of the Daily Mash. I can certainly say the political perspective in the Daily Mash couldn't be further from the Daily Mail if it tried. The Daily Mail don't do satire.
The sad thing is they're like the mafia. You sleep with the fishes if you even make the odd public criticism. Look at Mark Halsey - BT got him in to act as a 'live' commentator of referees during games, but the refs complained, the FA had a word and he was quietly dropped for his role. It's a perfectly good idea but this bunch really don't want any monitoring at all.
Get a foreign ref to be a commentator. But in a second thought then Blatter and his gang will probably step in...

Really?tbf, Suarez doing triple Salchows is never likely to persuade any ref to the merit of the foul. If Suarez stopped acting like he'd been electrocuted he'd win more fouls
I've never had it before, but that article is full of thinly disguised bile.
" Before the match, fans highlighted Liverpool’s poor success rate for games officiated by Webb, although this has to be placed in the wider context of Liverpool’s general awfulness.
“Every piece of animal excrement placed on, in or near his house will be indicative of our trademark sense of humour.”
Guards will be posted outside the new Howard residence, situated opposite local pub The Kop & Grudge-Holder,"
Really?
The refs job is to see the offence not judge the technical merit of the fall. If he is doing the latter he is not doing his job. And in neither incident did Suarez dive. Plus the in the second one he was utterly clattered. Perhaps he should've have stayed on his feet and danced round the defenders to score with a tap in.
I find this whole "if Suarez wasn't a diver" stuff wholly disingenuous. The ref has fucked up. Big style. It wasn't his only mistake. Gerrard should have been booked for that tackle and that was a second yellow. Podolskis tackle on Flanagan was as clear a booking as you'll see too.
Did Oxlade chamberlain or Flanagan fall theatrically too? Or is it actually that Howard Webb is at best pretty fucking incompetent?
Your post acts as an apologist for Webb.
One last thing? When did Suarez last get a booking for diving or simulation?
Webb is a biased twat that consistently robs us. I don't need stats to verify that.
I know it was a pen and you know it was a pen. Suarez doing flips n shit ain't helping his cause though. I'm not saying Webb has an excuse just that Suarez doesn't help his case.

Why are people saying that "Suarez didn't help his case" etc bollocks? It doesn't matter what he does AFTER the foul. He can do a triple somersault with pike, run back to the dressing room to check his text messages and come back wearing a tutu for all I care. The referee needs to base his decision on the incident itself. Not the effect of the incident.
Webb clearly didn't do that.
Of course that's not what I'm saying. So you're saying if a policeman twats you in the face for being near a protest and then you call him a cunt it's likely to work in your favour?
Of course that's not what I'm saying.
First off, the 2 scenarios are completely different and there's different protocols with both. But if Suarez had called Webb a cunt, he still should've gotten the penalty, but he also get carded for verbally abusing the referee. They would be classed as two different incidents. In any case, calling a cop a cunt, and exaggerating a foul are hardly comparable.
In all fairness Gerry, on Sunday he didnt have much choice in what he did. He was absolutely battered from behind.
