I try not to dish out the personal abuse, simply because I know how touchy come folk are in regards to it. I hope that when I do people dont take it too seriously, as it really isnt. I dont think Dreamy is a retard OBVIOUSLY. I dont think Spiderneil is a bellend OBVIOUSLY. I generally just post the way I speak to my mates (maybe i shouldnt with some people) and I really hope that people can see that. I think Ryan is the same to be honest. I'm unsure that Brendan was.

I have never once complained about anyone calling me a 'name' on the internet, and I have only once seen abuse on here that went too far, and that was a post made about 5 years ago.

It very rarely gets personal on here and by and large whenever someone is told to pack it in they do so, and I think thats what you can expect.

I mean genuinely we have probably banned about 20 posters in the past 4 years, and with one or two notable exceptions they have all been spammers or wums. It takes a huge issue for us to even talk about banning someone and even then we are usually talked round. I got banned from RAWK for AGREEING with a post defending Carragher. Not for making a post!! Its insane.

Anyhoo, I guess you cant alter peoples perceptions but it is a mystery to me that we could even be seen in the same stratosphere as that happy clappy shitfest.

I do think because we have all 'grown up' together by and large as a forum our massed errr masses agree on most things so if someone obviously posts against that it is often rounded upon, but generally it is by the posters not the mods.
And Dreamy has CLEARLY been on a wind up for years but hes part of the fabric so whatayagonnado.

Oh and also KJ's comment about someone being a well liked poster is complete bollocks. Everyone is treated the same EVERYONE. I was told to pack it in by LTW the other day, standing has nothing to do with it.

I think Spearing is the natural replacement for Lucas. Spearing has all the qualities need for that role, he's tenacious, has good energy and can pass the ball, he can even score the odd goal. He's been waiting a long time fr this chance and he has it in him to ensure Lucas doesn't walk straight back in the team. It's up to him to take it.

I've followed the next gen tournament and watched some highlights from reserve games and I can say that he hasn't exactly impressed. He's just not good enough atm.

I didn't get to watch the last two games. I'm happy for the result of course, and from the highlights he has played really well. I have no problem in admitting he has played well. If he does this consistently i have no problem in singing a different song. It's been only a few games, and i'm not ready to think along the lines of "Best DM in the league" yet......so i'd appreciate if that opinion is not shoved down my throat.

As i said, i think we will do just fine for the rest of the season. We won't finish lower than 6th place in any case, so i don't really agree with the sentiment that this is the biggest loss of the season so far....

Don't be thinking you are the only one who doesnt hail Lucas as the new messiah, he has come on in his game and has certainly been playing well, very well recently, and he has overcome enormous unpopularity to do so and should rightly be commended for much of his character.

I would swap him for a mascherano MkII in a heartbeat. He is a very bland work-a-day player who is very very hard to actually observe he goes about things so quietly, he doesnt really excel at anything but he is, now at least, a good player.

I hope he recovers soon but at the same time I hope that we look better without him in there becasue that will mean somebody has stepped up.
