“To play with [Roberto] Firmino, especially, was an absolute pleasure. I would have loved to have played with him for a couple of years. He’s a very intelligent footballer. He’s on that same wavelength – he sees things. There are players and there are levels and he’s absolutely top level.”
Liverpool Echo

Pretty high praise from Stevie G

But have you heard, he's the lowest scoring main LFC striker in the EPL era! (actually not even remotely true, but sounds good).

Firmino is class, of course. He took a big step forward last season compared to his first season here when he was blowing hot and cold completely unpredictably. Now that he showed he can be consistent, I'd like him to become a little more greedy as a striker and start adopting the mentality of a goalscorer (now that he's been moved to that position).

The highlight of the "moral police of Manchester" (Norwegian Department) this season was Firmino caught drunk driving, and then be so cruel to play well enough to be man of the match the next game (morning?). They were devastated... Sorry fuckers ;-) Wow they were out of their skin conemning us fans stupid enough to applaud him.....

I wonder does Stevie think he is as good as Joe Cole

Hahahahaha!

Maybe Stevie watches replays of all Firmino's goals this season while he plays 'Sussudio' by Phil Collins in the background.

He'd probably have to replay the goals a few times before the song finished given there's only a grand total of 11 to enjoy.

I'd really like to know how many goals Firmino scored this season, and whether we all know if he's there to score goals or not.

Does anyone have that information?

Yeah, we need some confirmation regarding that. Is it the lowest tally ever for a Liverpool striker? It has to be.

It's probably the sort of thing that should be referenced regularly. I dunno, maybe in the post match ratings threads or something like that?? That way we wouldn't forget about it I guess.

That's a great idea. I just hope somebody has the courage and perseverance to take this up.

Oh, and you should be paid for ideas like that, obviously.

Firmino? Top class? Well clearly, Stevie has no idea what he's on about, as according to SCM he's shit and can't score.
Get Stevie out before he makes a right mess of our up and coming talent!

Yeah he really doesn't score often enough. Funny how he has got away without that being highlighted.

I'd take Gerrards praise with a pinch of salt but ya Roberto is obviously class and his movement and workfare are sensational. If he was a top class finisher I doubt we'd have him

It's only a matter of time on here before someone puts it together that he is Brazilian, and so is Lucas, so obviously he is going to be shit at scoring goals.
*** it may take them a little longer to work out that Coutinho is also from the same neck of the woods....

That's a good point. It's clearly obvious how he's vital to the team, but yep, if you add a load of goals to that, he'd fill the transfer kitty with a shit load to spend on another up and coming.
