Well done by Scott Parker to get Fulham back into Premier League so soon. 2:1 at Wembley, left-back Joe Bryan scored both Fulham goals with the first one catching out the Brentford keeper from a free-kick and second finishing on a counter. Brentford scored a consolation goal right at the death.

Holy shit I missed the game. How the fuck could Brentford mess it up?!
On some level I'm glad they didn't go up because the camera in Brentford are at about pitch level. It's worse than how it was watching Arsenal at Highbury.

They were overly cautious and Parker's tactics also stifled their usual game. I thought Brentford were going to edge it in the last 15 minutes, but they didn't take their half-chances and eventually the keeper's mental error undid them.

I think the camera issues will go away , they're moving to a new stadium for next season

Ah that's a pity. Both teams OK in my book but have Brentford ever been in the PL ? It would have been nice for them and their supporters. Fulham will go straight back down anyway.

They haven’t that’s why I wanted them up. Fulham and West Brom have been up too many times and just failed. Fuck them.

And will be going straight back down.

Would have preferred to have see the bees promoted.

I thought so too, but Scott Parker has something about him... The tactics and game plan for this game were spot-on and the way he turned the club around in such a short period of time is remarkable.

The keeper for the first goal though....

Yeah, but that also turned out to be a result of coaching:

FULHAM hero Joe Bryan revealed boss Scott Parker told him to shoot just seconds before his astonishing 40-yard stunner. Bryan caught Brentford keeper David Raya totally unaware as the Cottagers sealed promotion to the Premier League with a 2-1 win over the Bees. The Wembley showdown went into extra-time at 0-0.

But Bryan - who had scored just one Championship goal all season - broke the deadlock with the most amazing set-piece strike. Cameras caught Parker telling Bryan what to do just before the 105th-minute free-kick. And Bryan said what appeared a freak goal was actually planned all along.

He said: "Scott Parker said whip it in the near post as the keeper comes ridiculously far off his line.

Scott Parker was seen instructing Bryan seconds before the free-kick

"That’s from my dad, he used to give me the eyes when we practised in the field when he made me go in goal. "We had one goal and we achieved it." Parker revealed the blueprint to success when he spoke after Bryan's second sealed the win seven minutes before Henrik Dalsgaard's late consolation. He said: "The opening goal was planned, we looked at Raya's positioning from free-kicks. "He's very aggressive in his starting position.

Do we think Parker actually told him to shoot or do you reckon it's bollocks and Bryan has made the decision himself?

Not sure that's entirely fair. Isn't this the third time Fulham have been promoted?

The last time they were only in the Premier League for one year but in the time before that they were there for a pretty long time and did quite well (unfortunately for us, really, as their relative success was why we ended up with Hodgson).

Just listened to about 20 seconds of some new stuff. Absolute trash. I almost think it's some sort of 20 year long satirical joke I'm not getting.

Scott Parker looks and sounds like he's just about to go back on set for a Guy Ritchie movie. I half expect him to start moving in slow motion when he's getting animated on the touchline.

True, it was more of a dig at West Brom. I hate them and Sunderland. Middlesbrough too. Norwich lead the way with 5 relegations but we usually beat them.

Anyway, I think it’s refreshing seeing first timers come up.

Norwich have a special place in my heart from the Suarez years where watching us play them was always fun and Suarez scored a crazy amount of goals across 2/3 matches against them.

Middlesborough,Bolton and West Brom can get to fuck though.

I mean yeah, Original Pirate material aside - its mainly garbage.

Yes, I agree. I like to see a mix. I do like seeing clubs come up, stay up and do relatively well but it's also good to see clubs who haven't been in the top flight before (or for many many years) come up, even if it isn't for long. If nothing else, it helps those clubs financially if they use the money wisely.

The pointless ones are those who are constantly up and down between the Premier League and Championship, never actually getting any better.
