Not that he should be the arbiter of everything good in football or owt, but I would guess we would all agree his opinion on Dutch footballers is valid.....

As such...what do you reckon his views on 1) Babel, and 2) Kuyt, were?

Has he actually said them?

If so, then that.

If not:

1. Shite
2. Decent

Asked him myself, not more than an hour ago, and also couldnt resist asking him what the fuck was up with Joe Cole....

Given the 3 players named....

"Not technically good enough, great promise as a youngster, but was never going to follow though"

"A great, great bloke - techmically limited but more than makes up for it with attitude and application...if Liverpool were better, would fulfill the same role as Kalou"

"A really nice lad, not inventive enough to play through the middle, and probably the injuries have taken their toll to stop him from being as good as he has been"

In any order you like, but are probably obvious.

Dutch on Dutch thats some pretty hard stuff to swallow (if you are Spider-N)!

I cant possibly comment on his opinions re longevity of the manager, and Comolli.....

Cheers for the info grjt, as always, what was he like?

Surprisingly nice bloke (but quite pissed) Mark!

Refused to admit he was off to Ajax at the end of the season, still thinks there's a job to be done at Chelsea (...and cheered us on vs Spurs).

He's in contention to be the new manager for the Danish International-team but I'd be surprised if another English top-club wasn't trying to tie him down. His record of unearthing and spotting talent is second to none. Romario, fat Ronaldo and the latest of an impressive bunch than Mchearran-bloke (spelling) to mention a few.

With risk of PeterHague and KingJulian starting another frenzy I'd be very happy to see him at Liverpool. With Comolli just coming in however that is highly unlikely.

Cheers for the info grjt anyways.

Not sure you can credit him with discovering Ronaldo. I read about him in the Daily Sport long before PSV signed him.

Heh.

He was the one unearthing his talent and maturing him though. If I'm not mistaken the chubby one has given him loads of credits on numerous occasions.

I'd certainly rather have him than Comolli 🙁

Yeah you probably live in a house made out of LEGO and danishes (?) as well.

You mental Danish-loving-twat.

SYSTEM BREAKDOWN

*slaps own face*

Soz......

Has got to be one of the most over-hyped footballing guys. From his growing reputation at PSV to a stint at Spurs more known for his failed DOF role with Santini and a spell at Chelsea without achieving what he was expected to. Brought an influx of Chelsea rejects with him to Hamburg and now they are bottom of the league with only a point.

"I don't really know what Arnesen had expected from the Bundesliga," former Germany goalkeeper Jens Lehmann said.

"You can see in the way he has only signed players from Chelsea or Scandinavia that he really doesn't have a clue about German players.

"Overall, I find it naive only to sign youngsters.

"Should this negative streak continue, maybe it could be an advantage for Oenning that Arnesen does not know any German coaches because he would then have to do a bit of research."

However, Oenning himself can see an end in sight to his side's woes.

"The important thing is that you can see that the team is improving," he said.

"Today and last week were very painful, but we are heading in the right direction and the results will arrive."
