Just to move on a little from the Studge Legend thread. I wondered if anyone here had any soft spots for other teams? We know Dreamy fawns over the Mancs and Rouge is a Toon fan with a liking for the Redmen. Anyone else fancy confessing a leaning towards another team? Don't be bashful!

Me personally - I must confess to a liking of the Toon. Mainly because my best mate is a massive fan and he and his other Toon supporting mates have always been very complimentary about LFC.

West Ham would be my favourite London based team. I watched the 2006 cup final in a pub with a stack of Hammer fans and they were all very sound in defeat which I was genuinely surprised at and will never forget.

Always been a Fulham fan. This from the early 70s. They played in the first Cup Final I watched and I liked the white jersey/black shorts. Soon after they had Best and Marsh in the team. Always played pretty good football. I often watched them when they played up in the north and once made it to Craven Cottage.

Panathinaikos I suppose. Been to a few of there matches & will probably take the wee man if he wants me to when he's older.

Plus Mrs. Athens' old boy made a few appearances for them in the 60s.

Their matches even.

This is probably going to be controversial with some posters but I have a bit of a soft spot for Forest. One of my best mates is a Forest fan so I've accompanied him to the City Ground before, also went to see them play Preston in the FA Cup replay like two weeks ago.

I'm young enough so that I've never seen them challenge us for anything.

Generally I've a soft spot for clubs in towns I've lived or worked in. So Preston, Bury, Blackburn, Bolton* and Leeds I always like to see do well.

*Except when fat sam was at Bolton.

southampton as I moved to the isle of wight when I was 1, left there when I was 19 but saw the love for the club and the legend Le Tiss

Same, im from around the area so a fair few mates support them, went to the Dell many times as a youngster and saw Le Tiss take the piss out of everyone including us a few times.

My best memory from the Dell was one of the Liverpool games where i got Roy Evans autograph, i used to collect them in the Milton Road end and he was walking out before kick off and only signed one, mine! that was such a buzz.

Also Leicester, cousin supports them so its good to see them doing well for him.

2 clubs going the right way nowadays.

Can we talk about soft spots for players as well? I always loved Beckham growing up even when he was playing for United.

Teams

Southampton (mainly for Le Tiss and he was as close to toy of the rovers as you can get ) growing up.
Ac Milan
Galway Utd
Valencia
Wolves

Players
Roy Keane
Shearer
Asprilla
Juninhio (boro)
Yeboah (Leeds)

Hull and Cardiff because my old man played for them in the 60's.

Derby county because I supported them and Ipswich before I found the pool at age 6.

In England I always had a soft spot for the Hammers too.

Plus I'm a die hard fan of my local team too. A second division team from Austria who nobody on here ever heard of.

Liverpool Reserves.

Skanks, the lot of you. Especially Forest and dirty Leeds...
I went to a Leeds game once. My buddy was a season ticket holder and a massive Leeds fan. It was a Europe game (Huckerby scored for them) It was really embarrassing. Lots of "Stand up if you hate Man Utd" chants - Only for about 3 people to stand up, look about sheepishly and then sit down again. A couple of seasons later they imploded and got relegated. My once season ticket holding mate went from being a die hard fan to completely hating football. He's been that way ever since - He now plays and watches snooker a lot. 🙄

Really? That shit eating grin made me want to punch him! The fucking sarong. His stupid corn rows. His stupid pouting wife. His massive love of himself and the media attention. He was a great player though I'll give you that. Now he seems like he's on a mission to get a knighthood. For some reason all his charity work and FA representative stuff seems so contrived.

What sort of cunt are you? Even if this is true, you just don't admit it on an LFC forum and then wonder why you'd get shit!!

The most embarrassing thing about Leeds fans is they're as obsessed about Man U as Man U are obsessed with us. It's pitiful.
