Fergie gets abused

some of those clips had me bursting out in laughter . brilliant .

So does anybody feel sorry for him? A tiny little bit?

Whoever wants to can flame me all they like for this, but yes, I do. I'm delighted they're in freefall but I can't enjoy the spectacle of a guy so clearly struggling - and failing - to cope.

I need to add that, had the same happened to Ferguson, it would be a whole different story as far as I'm concerned.

yeah but its happening too fast. At this rate he'll be sacked in the summer and we don't want that. We need them to show some promise and win a few games on the bounce (after losing to bayern of course) so that he keeps his job.

If he can't handle it - he can quit and be safe in the knowledge he will be compensated very well for it.

Glen: that's true, but history may be on our side over this. When Busby went, more than one manager who followed him failed to last any length of time and they ended up getting relegated (albeit only for one season). I'm hoping that may persuade them to hang on to Gollum for a while.

Red H: if he quits he may be in breach of contract, in which case he wouldn't get nearly as much (if anything).

They'll sort it out soon enough. They've learnt from us, and they have more money than we did. But worrying about it now won't stop it happening, so enjoy their misfortune while it's there. Gather ye Moyes snubs while ye may.

I honestly don't see how they can possibly be so stupid as to keep Moyes now. It'd be utterly fucking ridiculous. I can't think of a single thing he's done to convince them that he deserves more time.

I still think people exaggerate the trouble they're in. IMO it's nothing that can't be sorted by bringing in a competent manager (or management team) and throwing this £200m they're supposed to have at the team. It might take a year or two but as of now it's easily repaired. It'd only be by going out of their way to hobble themselves by letting Moyes spend the money and missing out on CL again that they'd start to have serious problems.

I just can't believe anyone would be that stupid, unfortunately.

For the first time in my life I would like to know what Pat Crerand thinks!

They seem short of patience. What happened to give him time?

Way too early in the six year plan to make changes. That's what small clubs do isn't it?

What a hateful prick. Hilarious. I hope there are many more as unhappy and gutted as him.
Twat.

The shite they've got away with for years, it seems karma is calling in his debts.

Fuck them, I hope its a long and painful road to recovery.

Part of me does wonder something.....

Did Fergie choose Moyes and wait until he knew the team was on its last legs in order to try to oust the Glazers?

They basically need to spend around 200M if they want to find the quality they had with the Golden Generation.

It did strike home when Gary Neville said they had already spent 80 Million on Mata, Fellaini and Zaha. That is just mentalness, and looking at that compared to the money we've spent over the last 2 years, it shows how the tables have turned....

They need to go back to basics on the field and also in the backroom. Buy youth & develop... but those idiot fans wont have that, they expect success right now, thats all some of them have known.

We on the other hand have been there, seen it, done it and are now coming out the other side....

How Ironic!

Those who "feel sorry" for him seem to act like he inherited a squad and had no ability to invest in it. He has spent >£70m which he chose to spunk on Fellaini and Mata.

Yes, the squad wasn't title worthy as it stood based on improvements at City, Chelsea and LFC but there is enough quality there that with the right investments and tactics could have kept the club in the battle at the top.

He must really be bricking it. I can't imagine the stress is good for his health either. He has aged about 5 years this season. What makes it worse for him is that Everton are flourishing.

Watching how Mata performs under Moyes now makes us all realize that Leon Osman would have been a megastar if he'd played for someone else. Moyes's Osman is like Moyes's Mata but with goals, assists, tackling, tracking back ... the whole shebang, the complete attacking midfielder.

That's the sole reason I feel sorry for him. Football-wise, forget it.

I hadn't actually read your reply to Holle - just seen his original question.

Kind of agree - but at the same time, he is getting paid multi millions and isn't exactly doing a difficult job. He is just clearly bad at what he is meant to be doing. And if it was really affecting his health, he should resign and he wouldn't exactly be in hardship..
