I think people are too quick to pass judgement on players.

For example, "Aquilani is shit"

Well ok he was shit during his time for us (don't forget we actually signed him while he was injured) ... but before that, for those who watched him come through the ranks at Roma (like myself), he was a gun until the injuries came along.

So it's easy to say "he was shit" if you only witnessed one portion of his career ... and for anyone who is interested, he's doing very well now at Fiorentina who have managed his injuries well.

A Lazio fan can say the same about Gascoigne - "oh he was shit" - because truth be told, he was shit, despite having his moments, for Lazio if you want to be brutally honest.

But that doesn't mean he wasn't a good footballer because we all know he was brilliant at Newcastle & Spurs ... and the same applies for him, fantastic player until the injuries came about before his move to Lazio.
