I'm basing this on fuck all (30 seconds of that youtube clip) but I like this signing.

He can finish, I like his movement, and he looks fucking keen. Y'know? That kinda alert Bellamy-type action where they're always looking to be involved and make something happen.

Sign the fucking superstar.

I think that's the most pleasing aspect, his movement, he seems to show good anticipation like a 'proper' striker and is in the right place at the right time, that's half the battle, gaining that extra yard by being a clever player. He doesn't have to be lightning quick.

I get your point about the misses too, I thought that, he was in the positions to get the chances and only marginally missed, he seems to hit the ball with good instinct of where the goal is. I think he looks a good prospect.

Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini has conceded that Liverpool have made an offer for Italian international Fabio Borini.
Reports over the last 24 hours have indicated that the Anfield outfit want the forward and the Italian club have now admitted their attraction.
“There is real interest in Liverpool for Borini,” Sabatini stated on Tuesday afternoon.
“We are evaluating things with Roma director general Franco Baldini and the club, if necessary, will act accordingly.”

id be pleased with this, still dont think this is the "exciting" player that brenden was talking about though

Tbf, did Rodgers say it was an exciting signing, or that we'd love him?

Because I think we would love borini when he's here, but not be too excited about him now

Fabio Borini’s agent has confirmed that the young striker will consider leaving Roma this summer to sign for Liverpool.

Rumours emerged overnight of the Reds’ interest in the 21-year-old, who worked with new Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers when the duo where together at Swansea in 2010-11.

Giallorosso sporting director Walter Sabatini has since confirmed that an offer, rumoured to be around the £8m mark, has come in, which as Borini’s representative now admits, will be considered by the player.

“Roma has informed us of Liverpool’s interest in the boy. Now it’s up to Fabio to have his say,” Marco De Marchi told Radio Radio, before then talking to IlSussidiario.net.

“We were alerted by Roma of the existence of this deal. I cannot honestly tell you the details but, as Sabatini has already said, we’re now seriously considering it.

“Would the player want to go to Liverpool? Honestly, I don’t want to commit myself as there will be more news in the coming days. Wait for that.”

I agree, we need more Henderson and Downing type players to get back in the CL.
