Any news as and when would be great as I’m ever so slightly nervous about this injury.

The manager told his post-match press conference: “I don’t know [how bad it is]. He felt the muscle, not too much.

“He is quite positive but I’m not sure what I can make of that, to be honest. We will see.

“I think the rest came through without problems. Robbo was not in the squad today because I wanted to give him just a rest at home and bring another striker into the squad if we needed, that’s it.

“Apart from that, we should be fine.”

On Fabinho, Klopp added: “He has a good feeling and that gives me a better feeling than I had and I took him off. What that means, I don’t know yet.”

Nothing new.

An hour later he retweeted The Athletic :

Fabinho is a fitness doubt for Liverpool's FA Cup final against Chelsea on Saturday after suffering a hamstring injury against Aston Villa.

We won't know anything until after the scan but fit for the FAC Final? That's got to be a 100/1 outsider.

Yeah, he'll be out until the CL final. Shame, we really need him against Chelsea.

Yeh Madrid is the main one. Chelsea are doable without him but Madrid? That’s a massive ask

He always has a stinker on his first matches back. And that's on top of him looking generally lost the last few games everyone has attempted to bypass our midfield. Just plan for the CL Final without him.

Disagree. It's true that he's restarted slowly after longer previous absences but I'm not sure whether that will apply if he's only out for a game or two. Even if he isn't in the starting line-up I would defo have him on the bench in case of need.

I thought he's been brilliant the last few games with his positioning and dispossessing.

Yeah he didn't look that affected by it when they filmed him on the bench. Unlike Thiago before the League cup final.

Looked like Fabinho wanted to continue though? And we took him off.

He initially just sat himself down after walking through it. Can't imagine he would have wanted to power through at this stage of the season

Just as well, he was leggy for the entire time he was on. We got the 3 points in the end and he got himself some rest time. If he is indeed not injured then it's a job well done all round, roll on the next game.

Was listening to the radio who seemed to think it was a case of him being cautious according to the ex player pundits and that it’s less likely to be serious.
He’ll probably give us the relief we need by being back for the weekend, only to have a stinker and cost us the game.

If there’s an iota of doubt about him I’d rather he miss the FA cup final.

We really need a fit and firing Fabs for the Paris game against a rested Madrid side.
