It was hardly a scathing comment. He is in a similar situation to Suso when he was 19, whereby he has all the skill but needs to impose himself more on games.

I don't like watching Benteke. I know its not always so simple, but I do think a senior player of real quality should be noticable in this sort of game, and doing some bullying.

Randall – mediocre defensively and nothing in attack
Ilori – not dominant, but not lost either, very confident with the ball at his feet. Maybe he can sub for Clyne at RB now that he's back?
Enrique – slow, but decent passing
Smith – does he any good qualities other than than his cross? Kept giving the ball away.
Stewart – quiet
Brannagan – ran the game, with the ball and without. Standout player so far for me.
Teixeira – some nice turns and touches in the first 25 minutes, then got kind of quiet. Should have passed to Benteke when he was open.
Kent – he has speed and ability, but doesn't know how to use them.
Sinclair – took his goal well and was active initially, but then kind of lost his enthusiasm. Greedy with the ball at times.
Benteke – he should be dominating at this level, instead he probably has the worst first touch in the team.

That's exactly how I feel about Benteke. He should be bullying their centre backs.

Benteke has been fucking awful. It was obvious all day what Kent was going to do, could virtually only do at that pace .. and he was asking for it on his head at the back post. When Sinclair scored did he celebrate ? It looked to me like he got up off the deck and was still complaining to the ref.
