The fact is he's under pressure if he loses. If we were to spank them...questions might be asked.

The fact is, every derby is the same. They never learn. They talk about us, we say fuck all about them, and we go out there and perform.

Mignolet
Can Skrtel Sakho
Markovic Hendo Lucas Moreno
Gerrard Coutinho
Sterling

Sturridge isn't ready for 90 mins yet, let's not fuck him up again

This I reckon.

I think Gerrard will be relatively lucky to get the start based on Allen and Lallana being fairly poor at the minute, Sturridge not being fully fit yet, and it being his last derby.

If any of the above weren't true, I don't think he would start.

Low I think. He's mellowed a lot, for one, and I'm not sure any ref wants to be the one sending him off in his final derby. Well, maybe some attention-grabbing tit of a ref will, but I'm not sure about Taylor. Seems a very low-key kind of guy.

As for him being card-happy - well, he's dished 76 yellows (18 games), which is the highest among the refs. However, the next three on the list are Atkinson (19 games) and Dowd (17 games) with 75 each and then Dean (17 games) with 74. So I suppose he's no more strict than a few of the rest.

Anyway, a strict ref might work better for us, as the less-skilful side will be trying to compensate for that with physical play. 🙂

Ninety yellows and four reds in twenty two games now mate.
There are a few more card happy refs but he is towards the top of the table.
I still wouldn't bet against a red.
Hopefully it's of the blue variety🙂.

Liverpool FC's Daniel Sturridge declares himself fit to start against Everton
Striker wants to return to the side for the Merseyside Derby
Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has declared himself fit to start the Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park.
The Reds’ frontman was injured for the 1-1 draw at Anfield back in September but has scored three goals in his last two outings against Everton.
Sturridge, who made a goalscoring comeback after five months out against West Ham last Saturday, said: “First and foremost I’m excited. It’s my favourite game, I love it.
“The feeling in the city is completely different when you’re playing that game, the energy and everything.
“I’m looking forward to it. Whether I’m going to play or not that’s the manager’s decision but I’m ready for anything the manager wants to do.
“I feel I’m ready to start but it’s down to the manager to pick the team.
“I’ve had a week and a bit’s worth of training as well as the two games I’ve come on in and played a part.
“I’m looking forward to getting back into it, playing 90 minutes and performing as best as I can.”

The game is expected to be Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard’s last Merseyside Derby match – unless the two rivals are paired against each other in the latter stages of the Europa League – and Sturridge admits that the skipper will be a big loss to the Reds when he departs at the end of the season.
He said: “It’s hard to put your finger on one thing that Steven does. The way he plays with his passing, his leadership on the pitch.
“He can score goals, he can tackle, he can do everything.
“Aside from that there’s the leadership qualities in the dressing room and at the training ground.
“There’s that respect from every player for what he’s done in the game and what he still does.
“There are not many players out there playing in the game who have achieved what he has.”

I see the rumoured team has Gerrard and Sturridge starting. Markovic in the squad. Balotelli and Lallana out.

@DJDanRoach: Team tomorrow is: Mignolet
Can, Skrtel, Sakho,
Hendo, Gerrard, Lucas, Moreno,
Coutinho, Sterling,
Sturridge #LFC

@DJDanRoach: Markovic has a late fitness test, if he is passed fit, sturridge will drop to the bench. #LFC

Hmm, I want Studge in the team but not Gerrard in central midfield. If true obvs.

Well its 15/8 for either team to get a red..But you can back Everton to have one at 5's. I didn't put up the odds for us to have a red card as I wouldn't back on us to have a player sent off.

As one of the people who thinks its the stupidest idea around when Gerrard plays CM, I kind of think it is okay tomorrow. He plays his best against them and he should be able to hurt them with his passing. Then again, it still feels like a stupid idea. Especially cause Hendo has been much more accurate with his long range passing then Gerrard recently. Unfortunately it appears to all be going to shit for Superman.
