England v Uruguay

What are keepers always taught ? Stand up ! He went half way down and the ball went where he'd just been. Yes, I'd say Hart should have done better.

Totally agree on Cavani.

The clamour for Suarez to Real is going to be overwhelming.

He always does that - he spreads himself (and he's massive) and many times the shots hit him ... That shot would have knocked him out though had it hit his head ...

Suarez in 90 minutes on 2 cahnces, 2 goals.
Rest of Uruguay team, 180 minutes, 1 goal from a penalty.

your realism is based on pessemism ... granted, it's understandable and to a large extent, the 'expected' norm of us long suffering Liverpool fans.

Try being optimistic ... can't hurt ya, and heck, maybe you're the messiah and if you turn, so will our fortunes!

thanks for the pep talk 🙂

So... the game finishes, the pub is full of English people tired & blurry eyed at 7 am.... I switch the sound over to the computer-managed music system.... and what's the first song chosen????

Don't go breaking my heart.

Me & my Scottish barman have a chuckle.

Then the computer selects Shiny Happy People.

Baahaahaahaa 🙂

Just been ranting to the wife explaining exactly the same top and bottom points to complete indifference. Hart made himself small in total opposition to the goalkeeper coaching manual.
If Suarez is still here in September I will eat my own turds

So England now need a MASSIVE favour from Italy. Italy to beat Costa Rica (3-0) and Uruguay (1-0) and England to beat Costa Rica 2-0.

Italy 9 pts +5
England 3 pts 0
Uruguay 3 pts -2
Costa Rica 3 pts -3

It could happen. *walks away whistling*

i guess for lots of england fans , whichever way you look at it , this is liverpool's fault !

Oh well, just hope that Suarez is still a Liverpool player next season, so much for him not being a legendary player Roy you massive buffoon.

Thought Sturridge done well 2nd half, his first touch was immense, pity Sterling only got passed the ball once in 20 minutes in the 2nd half, what was all that about? we just ignored him out there on the right.

You can't really be peeved at the players when you have that clown in charge of the team, this shouldn't be no surprise to anyone.

I watched the post match waffling in the studio for a change and was amused to see Gus Poyet clearly delighted inbetween the sad 'ol England fans.

The best thing about all this is that despite all the lowered expectations there seemed to be a bit of hope after the first game (even though it was a defeat). We will never learn when it comes to England.

Get Woy out (they won't, he'll stay on) and bring in a progressive coach who can get the best out of next crop. The best thing to do is to start completely afresh.

So what, God doesn't love him anymore?

Oh well lads - Never mind. England playing at Headingley tomorrow. Let the real sport begin 😉

Uruguay are men sweating buckets and fighting for their fans. Then Lallana comes on with one green and one pink boot... It's why England don't win games because their heads are elsewhere. And fuck Lallana he is worth £15m tops, hopefully the World Cup brings some perspective to our transfer policy

why are you picking on Lallana, I've seen about 20 players wearing those odd boots

Fuck me lad - You've got some shoddy tuneage in your pub!

It might just be a cultural thing as South Americans seem to wear their hearts on their sleeves a bit more but it's great to see how much the likes of Chile and Uruguay care. Surprised to see people calling Suarez weird for getting emotional about it - this guy has got the hopes of a nation on his shoulders despite the fact that he probably shouldn't even be playing right now and just won them the game.

Much prefer to see that over the "professionalism" of some of the other teams. Oh, the players are disconsolate. Great.

Tell that to YaYa Toure and the many others with odd boot colours. That is just an inane statement. It's downright weird you'd even think it.
