Thiago held the midfield together when we had no centre-backs or central midfielders for months. While Alisson got us into the Champions League, we wouldn’t have stood a chance without Thiago during that period.
A terrible signing overall, no doubt, but his contributions during those three or four months were crucial in securing Champions League revenue. It's like arguing who's shit smells sweeter, but I have Keita as far worse. The most he gave us a MOTM against Crystal Palace and a fan a new football in the CL final.

Even within that category there are levels. Nunez doesn't really deserve to be hit with the same label as Keita.

Actually he didn’t even play all that well, I thought - just put in a good cross at a key moment. His contribution is akin to Smicer in Istanbul for me.
