Where's he at?

Rotting in the Spurs ressies or what? Does he get any first team game time?

He got his first Premiership start against Arsenal because of injuries to lennon et al.

They got spanked 3-0.

Not sure how he played.

Again, I'd take him if the price was right.

Kuyt has seen off all contenders to his throne, I expect he now owns the right midfield position.
Bentley's time at Spurs as proved that he is pretty shit on the left or in the hole.

It won't happen I know but Kuyt's been shit this season.

And Bentley is a decent player.

Pavlyuchenko and Bentley in the January-window and I'd be rather pleased actually.

Has supposedly told Spurs he wants out in January. Liverpool were linked in the piece (can't remember where - via Google Reader) .

I thought you were going to chill out on the smilies ?

I'm probably alone but I'd still take Bentley.

Great crosser, good on the ball. Works hard, scores goals and very good at set pieces. Can dribble and draw a foul.

Given an extended run in the team he would be a good player for us.

If he can do all that then why has he failed at Spurs?

He'd end up as Pennent MkII if we signed him. Kuyt will shake off this bad patch soon.

Because he should played on the RW.

The manager changed and he wasn't giving Lennon the nod.

Kuyt will always do enough for Rafa to be in the team but I would still rather Bentley with Kuyt up front.

I'm not sure if Bentley had an Indian Summer at Blackburn or not, but he's certainly a cut about Pennant mate.

I've no idea why he isn't getting a shot at Spurs, but it's clear Redknapp doesn't rate him or dislikes his attitude, and he's got Lennon, who's much improved, ahead of him in the pecking order.

He cost Spurs £16-17M for good reason and players don't go shit overnight. That said, Spurs are always minted so I doubt there's a bargain to be had.

He is a cut above Pennant, but he'd also only come at a hefty price that would put the £7 million spent on Pennant in the shade.

Either way, it's a mute point, Rafa's not gonna replace Kuyt.

Bentley is one of those that needs to be playing week in, week out, so any argument about his ability is pretty much redundant because he's not going to get given the opportunities he needs at a top club.

He's just going to have to wait for his move to Sunderland or whoever.
