I dont get it.
Whats the point in him?

Dalglish is ID'ing the targets (even Roy was apparantly the decision maker) the board have to ratify the decisions.

And here is the rub. The transfer window opened on January 1st and we have since lost to Blackburn, Manchester United and Blackpool and drawn with Everton.
So thats 8 points dropped and we have gone out of the FA cup.

He signed on the 8th November, giving him 53 days to identify targets and get them in for the start of January.

YES this is irrational and im just being impatient, but im going to be fucking LIVID if we sign players between now and the transfer window SLAMMING shut.
Obviously not gutted we signed new blood but ASTONISHED that we would wait three weeks to get them in when we are nearly bottom of the league and had a huge FA cup game to play, could we not have fucking done all this stupid shit 'sorting out an offer' at the end of fucking December and not the end of the cunting window.?
Why are we such fucking cunts at everything.

I don't like Comolli, but none of us know what's going on, and deals take time. Let's leave them to it eh and moan at the end of the window.

[/quote]THATS MY POINT FFS! NEGOTIATE IN DECEMBER!! SIGN EM JANUARY 1-5th!! SAVE OUR SEASON!!

haha, I loves you Andy. So impatient!

January deals are usually done towards the end of the window.

BTW, all the ITK are saying agents fees are a big factor, & this table is probably why. If agents are used us bending over then they'll be pissed off we're offering the same as everyone else is now.

Total money spent on agents (Oct 2009 - Sep 2010):
Arsenal - £3,660,199.00
Aston Villa - £2,279,536.50
Birmingham - £1,518,529.09
Blackburn - £1,623,232.92
Blackpool - £45,000.00
Bolton - £3,549,316.72
Chelsea - £9,293,751.48
Everton - £3,599,040.51
Fulham - £2,087,373.55
Liverpool - £9,032,528.49
Manchester City - £5,952,261.33
Manchester United - £2,312,726.00
Newcastle - £2,417,776.00
Stoke - £2,196,968.50
Sunderland - £4,421,990.72
Tottenham - £5,361,229.87

It was reported a lot of those fees were us taking on agents to help us get rid of players too. So sad !

I'm sure Dantes could do it for a better price.

Roy turned down at least one target because he wasn't 6' plus, Kenny has since come in and had the previous targets offered to him and so really we have benn in the window (again) only since Kenny took over.

Anyway, I am sure we are after players, and we ARE doing it the Liverpool way (maybe) by saying not a lot, and we will just show the players when we have signed them.

Andy fuckin chill out lad.
Were about to sign Adam which will (gerrard apart) make him the best center mid well have at the club and for many an excellent bit of buissness,He mighten be long term but is exactly what we need right now.

If Young dosent come well again we have another possible target in Nzogbia who kennys watched 3 times in a week so expect movement on that if youngs a no goer,Again mighten be long term but would provide the width we are crying for to see us through.

And finally Suraez, its sstill 100% from me and ive heard no more to tell me any different.

Big breathes now lad.

Nice to hear Mark. I think Adam will be a super bit of business. Young, Suarez and Warnock on top of that and I'd explode.

I'd be pleased with Adam if it meant less Poulson or Lucas and a nice pass or two to ook at every few weeks.

Suarez would delght me.

Young and N'zogbia don't excite me much.

I think I'd like to be Comolli. I mean he's about my age, wasn't good enough at footy, but figured out that if you were a bit clever and wore a suit around the right people you could keep in the game, to the point he now has an executive position at the best football club on the planet. I did that at raves and got like five hundred quid a week for booking people and it was a piece of piss, took me an hour a week. If only I'd have done it at footy matches instead I could be a grillionaire like this twat.

Well when I was doing it for clubs, club bosses would ring me and say can you get so and so - or more usually, can you get three people that will ram this place on X date, and I'd say yeah - and then put the phone down, call three people who I knew would return the favour and that was that. Every week I'd worry that when the DJs turned up, they'd just like... leave a card... I mean it wasn't as if I had to coerce anyone or call in favours, I just had to offer them the going rate. I can't see any significant difference. It's emperors new clothes all round.

But he looks clever and wears a suit.

That's what I mean. It's not as if he brings a sheet of coupons that get money off. Anyone who wastes their day playing FM knows who all the up and coming stars are and the agents who represent them are trying to find you, not vice versa.

You don't need a specialist director, you just need a negotiator. A good car salesman.

haha, i don't know whether to laugh or cry. i see this all the time with clients - the ones making the money are invariably the consultant/fucking-useless-bastard types, cunts raking in hundreds of grand a year for running workshops for jumped-up NHS managers and the like.

it's just as bad in the private sector as well, though, as you imply. it takes all kinds of credulous morons to make the economy tick, which is just as well i suppose.

while they're contacted to this club they eat and drink what they are given. we need only give them a strong sedative, bring in a male escort, strip them of their clothes, take pictures

in the morning they'll drop their wage demands and leave for the championship, or else the pictures go to wikileaks

Obviously you never got the down low on football strategy!!

We tried to bring in assets (players) up to the very last minute but unfortunately the january window is not the right time to buy due to inflated prices. However ,we would like our customers (fans) to remain positive as we will definately bring in quality additions to our franchise(liverpool soccer united) in the summer as the commodity (PLAYERS) prices tend to be lower and more economical as market trends suggest.

Andy, this thread is waaay over the top mate. I'd understand if it was 1 of febuary.

Transfers in january take time and are done usually at the end of the window.

I'm as impatient as the next man, and has been pressing f5 for 5 days now. I have every faith in Comolli and the club, as it looks like we're doing our business away from the media spotlight. The way we used to.

Thanks for the updates Mark, much appriacted. I really hope Suarez will be ours.
