Went to an event last night In Dublin which had Carragher and a half pissed Hamann regaling us with tales from their time at the club. There was also a special focus on that famous night in May.
Few things I took away from it;
- Carragher said Gerrard biggest strength is that he has no weakness.
- Suarez is probably the best player he's played with. He called him a Warrior.
- Neither seemed to like Cisse that much. Had a few smirks to each other any time Cisse was shown on the video footage or mentioned. Carragher called him 'Mr Angry' at one point.
- Didi referred to Igor Biscan as 'BiscanBAUER' which drew a big lol from the crowd.
- Didi claimed Rafa had no English when he first arrived so would just say 'shower' to the player who was being substituted. Didi said he had no idea what happened to Dudek and why his form plummeted. He commented on how he went from being imperious in training and matches to a bag of nerves.
- Didi doesn't think we can win the league as it'll be hard to catch three teams but both agreed that 4th was safe and ours.
- Didi was drunk towards the end and laid into United and Moyes. Said sarcastically that he's doing a brilliant job. Followed it up by saying he deserves to be sacked, RVP wants out and he couldn't believe Rooney was given 300k a week. He said that Moyes will lose the dressing room with his comments in the press and once you lose the dressing room you are finished. He was getting worked up as he tore into Moyes.
