It's the nobheads who flit between cars & then go through red lights, so on some stretches of roads you can end up having to overtake them two or three fucking times. That really pisses me right off. I don’t think Carragher or Neville or anyone is ‘vital’, and nor do I think the ratings for Sky’s football coverage or indeed the more important subscriptions are dependent, or indeed likely to vary much, on who hosts it.

Christ, they had Keys and Gray for long enough.

So any decision about Carragher isn’t really going to be about how losing him is going to cause a collapse in viewing, despite how popular and well-regarded he might be, because it won’t make much difference really

As long as whoever does it isn’t massively annoying and rubbish, it should be fine. I mean, I don’t think anyone thought Robbie Savage would be any good, but he’s done well for the BBC on that football show he does

I suspect they'll see him as an asset though. He's one of the ex players who they brought through & have coached over a fair bit of time, instead of poaching from the BBC as they used to do, so I assume there's a cost/benefit sum in there in that regard that they'd take into account.

I also imagine him to be very popular with the staff & others, which would certainly help in this kind of situation.

I think that's it, they hit on a long term partnership with Carragher and Neville that had all the banter plus mutual respect. Its a huge draw that could bring in the viewers for years, they won't want to lose that.

Despite their obvious rivalry and Neville being a Manc, I've got alot of respect for him as a pundit, even moreso now after his public backing of Carra and condemning of the shite refereeing on Saturday. Fair play to him.
