can Can?

Probably went under the radar a bit but his run from midfield and shot, right at the very end of the match was brilliant.

Not for the first time, I hope beyond hope I'm completely fucking wrong. Improving at a pace and his confidence is sky high.

Was never a RB/RCB and I think way too many have misjudged him based on his time in that role. It's obvious, especially when compared to the likes of Barkley or Wilshere at that age, and even Rossiter now, that there is a lot of quality about the lad. You need to drill some tactics into him and curb the impetuous side to his game, but if we do then I don't see why in a few years he couldn't be amongst the best in his position going into his peak years.

Lucas, Can, Milner, Allen, Henderson are demonstrating that they can form a very solid midfield.

I particularly liked how Can played against Swansea in Lucas's role. I thought he was very assured. I thought Milner was the only real alternative in that role.

I am starting to agree with Klopp that we do not need much business in January. I would rather the time and energy be spent on the training field with the existing players than trying to bed new players in. The rate of improvement is truly impressive.

Nah, I understand that everyone is on a high at the moment but we're basically one injury from playing Randall at RB for the rest of the season. Same regarding the DM position.
So, we still need to buy in January.

I think Can covered DM well against Swansea. Agree regarding fullbacks, I was talking about our midfield needs. I think we need training time more than players. Maybe if we can get a midfielder that has played under Klopp and can slot right in, but otherwise would be better to continue the improvement of the current group.

Disagree about Can at DM. He's played more iffy games than good ones there and his instincts are mainly attacking in nature, as he showed to good effect last night. Tying him down in a DM role would be a waste IMO and I'm far from sure it would work in the long run anyway.

I feel I'm duty bound to disagree with most of what Silver Sean says - After all he is a bit of a shouty bellend. Still I'll put my two pence worth and say that I think Can is immense - He's so raw though. Naturally given his age I think the potential to be brilliant is there for all to see. Loving him and his slick haircut. 🥷

Haha! I love the shouty twat really. Love can only go two ways JJ. He hates me - I love him. That's what I call a football forum paradox. 😗

The only game I remember him playing there beyond a few minutes as a sub was the Swansea game, but maybe I missed some.

I would not want him the full time, but as cover for Lucas, I thought he was terrific. I agree that he may be better further forward , but did well last weekend.
