I cant help but think of Everton.
Everyone is always saying how well Moyes has done with them over the years but if I recall there was a couple of occasions when he nearly got them relegated usually prior to having an excellent following season.
I am sure there were quite a few Everton fans in those early bad seasons calling for his head.

If you had never seen us this season, and watched this last game, or several others, you'd find many reasons to be hopeful. Some promising attacking play, lots of possession, just lackluster players executing it. As it is, it's an incredibly frustrating pattern.
There's no reason whatsoever to get rid of Kenny before the end of the season though, that's just incredibly stupid. What advantage does it confer? This season is pretty much over, it's over as far as the league is concerned, it would be tremendously disrespectful for no gain.

Personally I thought we were excellent today, in every aspect, except in front of goal. Calling for Kenny's head is fucking ridiculous, when one or two players cant do the simple thing and stick it in the net. He also deserves a chance to rectify what he put wrong (Carroll, Henderson, Adam).

There has been a fem times in this clubs history we have had to call upon KIng K. Frist when we lost Kevin Keegan to Hamburg.... He left a huge hole, and i do remind you that he went on being UEFA player of the year twice. But Liverpool fans didn't Even notice his departure because of Kenny. After the Heysel tragedy the club could have gone in either direction.... Up stood a very young Kenny and built a team so strong that had it not been for the European ban Barcelona would not have been within a sniff of our European titles yet. When he carried the sorrows of the whole city on his shoulders participating in 90 funerals he was barely 40... And when this club lost is identity completely a year and a half ago he walked back into english football scaring the shit out of sir Alex (Did you notice his abysmal attacks on us after that) and pur a smile back on our sad faces.
I am sick when a few losses causes the reactions i see here. Cause if there is one single person who thought us more than anyone else what you'll never walk alone stands for it is Kenny. If it wasn't for the 30 something trophies he had his hand in we would be a poor mans Chelsea. Why do you all think we are hated so much? Because we are the outsiders that showet this nation what glory is about, and we weren't supposed to.Glory belonged to London and Manchester... They never forgave us our proud history, and now we need to restore the mentality that once Made us winners. There is only one man that can do that....
