Sheikh's team is the best we could go for.

Unfortunately, the budgie-faced old cunt won't play Kelly or Shelvey, and instead we'll get that cunt Lucas and probably the likes of fucking Maxi, and if we're really fucking lucky, Crapsen.

I want the useless old twat out of my club, and the aforementioned cunts with him

Damn, you got my hopes up there Sheik.

I could be double bluffing.

Jovanovic has got to be ahead of Babel. At least he's put some effort in.
I just don't think he's any good this Jova-bloke.

Neither is Babel but at least he's still young-ish and somewhere deep down we all know he can score a brace.
I agree with you. Somehow his head has been turned from promising to non-existent over his LFC career. Sad as it has been some of his most important development years.
Jesus Christ, I can't believe you guys still have hope for him. He's shit.
Yeah pretty much shit. However we are talking Jovanovic and Max here... They are shit too unfortunately.

I want classy wingers. Good wingers with speeds and skills to take on players. With good crosses and tactical skills to know when they are to stay out wide and when to drift inside and leave the room for a fullback storming up the field... None of the above mentioned fits in however...
Yeah they all are, Jova impressed me with his fight and counterattacking play the other day though. They're all much of a muchness, none are really wide players which I think is more than half the problem.
Jova defo has something else, maybe more steady, than Babel. But it is so little Liverpool in it anyway...

You are right he looked more industrious at least than Babel, I just don't hope we are going to rely on our counters at home against Blackburn. Babel's got a shot on him and that's more than I've seen from Jova.

Against a packed defense out of the two I'd still pick the rapper.
I'd pick Jovanovic to start the game and play him up front, to have a battle with their CBs and try to create some space for Torres. One thing I have seen from him is strength on the ball, and I think he'd be up for that kind of battering-ram role. Babel would never be in a starting eleven of mine again, but I'd put him on the bench and think about bringing him on midway through the second half to have a run at a tiring defence. That's the kind of approach which seems to bring the best out of him.

I've played a fucking blinder here. I've promised that many tickets out that I don't think I've got one for me, so I can just go home and forget about it. I mean I still have to meet a few Irish people in town with tix at 11am, so I'll have a nice anaesthetic lunch, but then just go home. Woot.

He moves like a chest of drawers when he's got the ball at his feet.
And Roy doesnt like Agger. Im worried this will continue.

Because it's been a week since I last watched our 'best' 11 play, I've forgotten how shite we actually are. Thus, I'm quietly confident we'll win today!

Rumoured team;

Reina, Carra, Soto, Skrtel, Aurelio, Lucas, Meireles, Maxi, Gerrard, Cole and Torres.

Any manager with half a brain would understand that when you play Carra at right back, you HAVE to play a winger with pace infront of him. Babel should have started.

We usually attack on the right, now we can't even do that. Welcome hoof and hoof again.

Joe 90K a week Cole owes us a performance.
He owes us a completed pass to his own player!

Ha.

His 10 yard passes straight back to konchesky bring a tear to my eye. The 'next Gascoigne' just prodding it backwards to some hack defender everytime he receives it.

Well, he's slow and weak so unable to turn a defender when he receives it in a real tight spot with his back to goal - as he so often does. And there are no real give and go or passing plays to make because the movement in attack is dreadful... that is... if there is actually anyone there.

Same team that started against Everton.
oh right, I see and assuming thats true.... that would be because it was 'our best performance of the season'

we should of saw that coming I guess

With Carra at right-back and Lucas and Maxi in the team, I can see us losing again. Anyone else share my fears?

Presumably everyone that isn't delusional.

This is fucking depressing.

Within the opening 10 minutes, Torres will have moaned to the ref at least twice.
Before the 20th Lucas will gift Blackburn an opportunity and Reina will save us.
Maxi will get his first touch around the 30th as Carra will be hoofing it over him.

Bla bla.

We'll win by the odd goal after a dismal performance. Roy will proclaim we've turned the corner. Everybody will know he's blowing it out his @rse. Let's just hope that includes NESV.

I think we'll win today, we'll turn it on and Gerrard and Torres will have a good game. I know we've been playing shit but the rot has to stop sometime and hopefully a few of the first team lads will have taken note of the performances of the likes of Shelvey and Spearing midweek. After that performance and the dismall showing of many of our internationals of late, I think those two lads can feel hard done by having to sit in the stands watching mediocre, overpaid players look bereft of desire or any real quality.
