Play the reserves/squad players? (My suggestion)
Or try to get some momentum 4 days before the Everton game and risk injuries, suspensions and the Kraken being released? (Neil's suggestion)

Play the team that are going to face Everton.
Try to get some continuity going and use the same players and tactics for a few mathces after eachother.

I'd rest Enrique, Gerrard and Suarez.

Wouldn't mind seeing something like this:

------ Doni -------------

Flanagan ---- Skrtel --- Agger --- Johnson(if fit)

Henderson --- Spearing --- Shelvey --- Downing

--------- Bellamy ------ Carroll

Agger LB and Coates at CB if Johnson isn't fit.

I'd play the reserves with the promise that if any shine they'll at least make the bench for the semi.

we are going to play the strongest team possible. there is no way on this earth kenny will want to go into the semi final on the back of a bad result.

Is the right answer.

[Please note I do not condone the lack of capitals in the quoted sentences]

Show some pride, score some fucking goals, try and win a game god forbid and if all else fails at least give the kids a go.

I honestly don't think a good or bad performance on Tues night will make any difference come the Cup semi.

To a certain extent we are already playing the 'kids'!

John Flannagan, 19
Jonjo Shelvey, 20
Martin Kelly, 21
Jordan Henderson, 21
Sebastion Coates, 21
Even Jay Spearing is still only 23!

I'd like to see Aurelio one more time before the end of the season and Tuesday may be a good night.

A really classy player once he got a few games under his belt. Unfortunately ....

probably not but you still don't want to go into a semi final on the back of a defeat.

Know what you're saying but i do think there's a lot of truth in the saying 'form goes out the window in these games' when we're playing Everton/United/Chelsea etc.

Whatever.

Play Agger at left-back though. Enrique has been brutal for about 4 months now.

Howard, Hibbert, Jagielka, Heitinga, Neville, Gueye, Fellaini, Osman, Pienaar, McFadden, Stracqualursi.
Subs: Mucha, Gibson, Drenthe, Distin, Coleman, Anichebe, Duffy.

Baines, Cahill, Jelavic rested ahead of Everton's cup clash with us.

In all seriousness I'd play the following:

----------------------Doni
Johnson--Coates----Agger-----Aurelio
---------------Spearing
-----------Henderson---Shelvey
Maxi--------------------------------Sterling
-----------------Carroll

Suso and Adorjan on the bench.

Johnson and Agger are in need of some match fitness.
The omitted need a rest.

I like that team, minus Aurelio.

they still managed to win 4--0 i think they are at their best i don't fancy our chances at all the way we have been playing recently.

We are gonna beat Everton. The players will be motivated and we'll see some great football.
Then there's gonna a be a King Kenny wank fest here.
Wembley here we come (again and again).
