@LFC: Andy Carroll has today completed his transfer to West Ham. Everyone at #LFC wishes him all the best for the future: http://t.co/cY516m5mtK

THAT's the news I've been waiting and hoping for.

Maybe Joe Kinnear's appointment persuaded Carroll to stop waiting for Newcastle. Who wants to be at the club that's turning into the laughing stock of English football and might get relegated with Kinnear in charge?

Actually the guy didn't have to tweet that. Fair play to him. His new club can go feck itself under that fat slug of a manager, but I hope he does OK individually.

Lol, gkmacca's cheeky posts is causing some misunderstanding (click on his twitter link to solve the riddle)

Right, well that's that then.
What a fucking disaster.
I'm sure he'll go on to have a good career, a possible Kevin Davies type career. Or he'll be in a the Gazza wing of the Priory before the age of 30.
Thanks for the semi header against the BS and nearly clawing us back into the FA Cup final and er.... that's it.
Someone else's problem now.

Has there ever been a transfer like this where the fans of both clubs are unanimously happy about it?

Haven't been this pleased about someone fucking off since Alberto, well played to everyone involved. The possibility of recouping close to 20 million for Carroll is a genuine water into wine miracle.

We lost as much on Andy as we did with Aqualaini, I think.

They were two horrific signings. I'm just very surprised we're getting that much for him, I expected us to bend over and get absolutely destroyed on his fee.

At least one of them could play football.

I know you love Aqua but he was fucking useless for us, it's irrelevant how good he was at football because he always got hurt and didn't want to be at the club.

It was a terrible bit of business but I mean look at him now, key player at Fiorentina and in the nationalteam.
Maybe it was wrong of us to buy him, but I still think he was treated unfairly when he was fit and with us.

I actually had high hopes for him, but its the right move for all parties. We paid 20 mill to much and that will hurt for years to come. 19ish mill in return is okay for a player that wouldnt succeed here in this lifetime.

Seems a decent lad but thats not enough. It was the wrong transfer for him and us. One of the writers on LFC.tv said he's never interviewed a more nervous player on his first day at the club. He was out of place and out of his comfort zone.

Good luck at WHU, hope you score goals against anyone else bar us. But its written on the Geordie Shore in Tequila that you'll destroy us with a couple of headers.
