Was great tonight, puns aside.. has he finally turned the corner... ?

Two solid performances in a row.. It goes to show he can do it if he gets a run of games...

or is it just a mere 1 or 2 good games and he will be shite as per for the next few..

I have always been a fan of Babel and have always thought he has never been given a fair crack of the whip in this Liverpool side..

I wreckon he should be given a run in the side.. Will Roy do that though.... ?

He's a striker. Play him as a striker and he may just turn out to be the greatest player we have ever had.

Needs to keep it going and I might get excited.

We've been here before though haven't we?
Yup... But to be fair he has never been allowed to play himself into form when he has 1 or 2 bad games

But we have seen other 'not so exciting players' being allowed to do so...

Hahaha.

Fo' sho'. Stick him up front with Torres and see what he can do.

He's worth a run in the side alongside Nando, he's earned it. In tandem, they'd give defenders nightmares. Both have skill, can run the channels and finish. Do it Roy!

You watch, if we do let him go... some other club will appreciate that fact and he will become a class act... That is my fear...

Couldn't have put it better myself

Did well again tonight to capitalise on last weeks performance, needs to keep going and keep putting in that sort of performance. He's better than Carlton fucking Cole anyway, so I'd be fucked off if we sold him in January to buy that shite, that said, he needs to perform on a regular basis (if played), he couldn't have many arguments if he was told to do one.

He's always had this ability, I've never questioned that.

In his first season he put in some amazing cameos since he's never been played regularly enough and people wonder why he hasnt developed.

Hopefully at worst these sort of performances will up his transfer value.

People must have been watching a different game from the one I was.

If we played him up front week in, wek out 'in his favoured position' we wouldn't finish in the Top 10.

He's got pace, and can strike a ball. Bar that, he's nigh on braindead, and has no clue how to operate as a centre forward.

Fucking sell him.

Nani turned it around. Let's hope Ryan can aswel. I'm a sucker for pace and power and he has it. His decision making lets him down but he played very well in the last two games. Let's hope he can carry it on to the next game.

Ban? I was thinking public stoning.
I think he must be already stoned to not think that was a great show by the long whanger tonight.

Ban for Ryan I think, that kind of talk sense is not welcome on this forum
In Babel's defense he wouldn't be the first brain dead striker to do all right in the Premiership.

Hahaha.

I've enjoyed the forum tonight. It's a shame it's AWFUL every other night. Bunch of knobs.

The best we can ever hope from Babel is to be a stronger version of Cisse.

Inconsistent, occasional good finish, pace to burn, but utterly brainless.

Suck my ass.

'Yeah Babel had a good game, lets hope he can get a run in the side and sustain the good form...' been said a fair few times like but I'll always have time for Babel myself.

Technically superb, quick, bit of skill and can strike a ball, its no wonder Benitez hated him.

But the lad does need to keep it up, its amazing how much better players are when they are played in their favourite position. There might be something in that theory.

Also, him and Torres must get a run of games together upfront. If it clicks we'd all be loving it.

That's right. Cos for that to happen (a) Torres would have to be unfit for him to get a game, (b) Babel would have to play consistently well (HAHAHAHAHAHAHA), and (c) we won't come up against as junk an outfit as Aston Villa were last night every week.

He's fucking average, and we've been through this so so so so so so so so many times before.

Yea, I was actually a lot more encouraged by Ngog's performance, because he's been steadily improving, and showed some sense with his movement.

But of course Babel had a good game, it's just that we've seen him enough to suggest he's not putting it all together consistently, and never will.

Sadly, I wasn't able to catch the match yesterday. Who do you guys reckon, will start against Newcastle alongside Torres? Ideally, Babel could do with a run of games but I guess Ngog, being slightly more 'established' in the starting 11 + Babel being involved in the last 2 matches = Torres + Ngog upfront? The potential problem with that is Babel will never be able to get a sustained run in the XI. ???
