This is not about Skrtel though.

Nope it's not, I'm just trying to show you how polarised your opinion is of Agger. If that was Skrtel he'd have been crucified and you'd have been telling us how we need to sell him and get a big dominant centre back in. Well he didn't play tonight and the problems didn't go away, go figure.

Agger and Skrtel are not the future. One have to be dropped. Pick one.

Like I suspected Suarez was absolutely knackered in the end. Subbing Sturridge was wrong imo. He should have subbed Downing.

I'd have hooked Wisdom and got Johnson back on the side where he's at his most effective.

Agger had a ball cleared off the line and made some crucial interceptions. I think the key To all this is the lack of midfield cover and having inexperienced back up for LB and RB. We need a more dominant central midfielder and more capable back up for Johnson and Enrique

Well, I suppose we should be grateful for a point after that, bit I say that through gritted teeth after being 2 up. But two very fortuitous goals for us.
We defended too deep, inviting pressure. If we were up against a more ruthless team like the scum we could have lost by 5.
I thought Sturridge, Hendo, Carra and even Wisdom were very good. Downing and Lucas were wank.
Need Enrique back so the team can have some balance.
At least with Downing being wank, we can bench him and have plenty of options to replace him! Same can't be said for Lucas - we could bring in Allen who has been equally as wank.

Need more pressure and effort for the city game.

with spurs and Chelsea drawing too, its an even better point as most would have expected those teams to take 3 points

Can't believe chelski threw it away in the last 3mins!!! hahahaaha I bet they were booed off.

I get the impression that Rodgers touchy-feely psychological approach has turned us into a bunch of women.

The team appears to have replaced its balls with a collection of vaginas.

I think we're sitting back too much - not pressuring the opposition yet allowing them to "get at us".

Arsenal nearly scored from a breakaway at the end which came from a corner - they were able to move the ball the entire length of he pitch with us backing off all the way - not a single attempt at a tackle.

Too often we were standing off rather than challenge.

It's no wonder Stoke & Oldham live playing us - we're soft as fuck.

Still - I'll take a point.

How shit changes because in the summer I thought tying them down would 'sort out our defense' for years to come. Now they haven't become shit over 6 months but they both aren't massive talkers or organizers or fantastic in the air so I don't see how they can play together and not scare the shit out of us!

We got what we deserved in the end.
Inviting pressure onto the defense from the 50th minute is always the sign of a team with little self belief.
We are basically Premier League flat track bullies.

To be fair - I think we have been a team lacking balls since Benitez's final season.

They were both outstanding as part of a very good defence last season, and had more than adequately contained big strong strikers then (especially in the first half of that season). This season, despite the chopping and changing, both have been ordinary. The problem probably lies with the Rodgers' set up than any permanent deficiency of either player.

I agree, neither have proven they are consistent world beaters and would be dispensable if we're to challenge at the summit. At this point though, there's no pressing need to replace either of them without Rodgers first taking a close look at himself.

I am schocked that invitere Arsenal to press us around our own box. Not a single pass went over their midfield. We alliowed them to park the bus 20 meter from our goal line. We have lately been outfought by Mansfield, outfought by Man U, outfought by Oldham And outfought by Arsenal. No matter what level we level the opposition comes from, if they put up a fight we will not match them.

Decent enough result, I'd deffo have taken a score draw before the match, and I'm happy enough with it now. We didn't create huge amounts and seemed to let them dictate the play for large portions, looked reasonably dangerous on the break, but I think a point is fair really

Decent result, but defence is a major cause for concern. I don't think the individual players are the problem (or at least not the main problem). Our organisation at set pieces is nothing short of disastrous, Rodgers appears to have set the team up with some sort of man marking / zonal hybrid (which is a decent system when done right) and it is being performed really badly. Whoever is coaching the defence really needs to get their act together, the defence consisted of the same players last year and we are a lot worse.

Sitting back when we get a lead (or in general cf the United game) is also a major cause for concern. Carra did his best to get everyone to move forward, but we really struggled to get the ball forward and retain it when we scored the second.

Also I want a good defensive midfielder with some pace, although I'm not holding my breath.

For what it's worth, the draw means that we continue our record of not losing consecutive games across all competitions this season (*touch wood*). #Bouncebackability!
