Arsenal (a)

Lucas isnt good enough at the moment.
City thankfully have less pace in the side which means we can defend a bit higher.

Carra was very good though, proved the doubters wrong

At the end of the day, they have been capable of banging 5 or 6 goals past teams at times, and have looked frightning on the break. The game plan was largely spot on, we tried to suffocate their play by using banks of four, like we did under Rafa and Ged alot, and it worked. What we saw was what we already know, our defenders aren't up to scratch and we lack dominance in the air. That's not really down to tactics, that's down to not having the players. Agger was piss poor tonight.

Interestingly, Arsenal have conceded fewer league goals than Utd so it's been not scoring enough that has hurt them more.

They have looked shit at the back every time I have seen them. Mertezschaker (spelling) is worse than Coates, well kind off.

A couple of central defenders would be nice too. Bloody hell that's half a team!

We need a quality, consistent left back. Then Johnson can play right back all the time.

Lucas is only just coming back so is out of form, in time he'll settle hopefully.

So just one player really, & a more experienced right back for cover perhaps. It's not Wisdom's fault, but he was shown up today as the inexperienced defender he is, he shouldnt be playing the likes of arsenal now.

Think our (lack of) fitness for the pressing game showed in the last 20 minutes.

We ran out of steam.

Still some good signs there.

Conceding within a few minutes of going 2 up was heartbreaking. Holding them out for 10 would've given us great confidence. The game highlighted the problems with both teams in a big way.

Again a midfield with no fucking bollocks lets teams waltz through us. Lucas at the top of his game isn't going to rectify that.

Agger wasn't piss poor at all. That's agenda Mark talking. Again.

How many times did he fuck up? It's not agenda talking, he was out smarted several times in the game, don't take it so personally, he was poor, he made errors and it cost us.

We needed a Mascherano to bring on after we went 2-0 up. We could have closed down the midfield and frustrated them, leaving Suarez alone up front as the outlet. Instead, didn't we bring on the tippy-tappy playmaker Joe Allen?

Ya fix something and something else breaks.

Like I suspected Suarez was absolutely knackered in the end. Subbing Sturridge was wrong imo. He should have subbed Downing.

We've got Enrique who had a very good spell before he got injured. Hopefully he can regain his form quickly and sort our LB problem.

It's elementary, you've gotta keep it tight for 5-10 minutes after you've scored, we never do. Instead we seem to opt for sinking as deep into our on half as possible.

He made erorrs and a crucial one as well. He also made dozens of clearances and gave us a bit of calmness at times no one else did.

Also posed a threat on set-pieces.

Not his best game at all but piss poor? Come on.

Yet Skrtel can make a couple of errors and he's a liability. Whatever.

Well done Liverpool, 2 goals and a point at the Emirates, when they totally outplayed us at Anfield just a few months ago, pity ye exhausted yourselves in the first hour. With 42 points to play for we have better program ahead of us and we need to make up 7, C'MON THE POOL.
