They sponsor themselves effectively so they can cover FFP any fucking way they please.
So they lose 5 or 6 players for 50m and spend 250m....no problem Etihad suddenly triple their current shirt deal.
Its a sham but if you think they are done for because of FFP I just cant see it affecting them.
Reminds me of the time Madrid council paid 300m for Madrids training ground then gave it to Madrid as a gift.
That table is a lock in and I dont see it changing.

But even if they get away with anything so crude, as I referenced above, one of the *existing* sanctions, as per Fatty Marcotti, is a $50m net spend limit for the next two years. That's totally regardless of any bogus income - they could be making £500m profit a year but that limit still remains.
Personally I don't think they'll get away with any of that sponsorship bollocks. But I don't have to be right about that for them to still have big problems as long as that limit stuff is true. And Marcotti is pretty sound, he knows his stuff. So probably it is true.
