I hope you're right Oncey. I can't remember much about him other than a few Gerrard esque strikes, so it's just a case of fingers crossed.

Any chance of another signing now? Another attacker would be nice.

Can anyone clear up the current status of his fitness? I heard that he had ankle surgery in May which presumably means hes still rehabilitating. He'll hardly be ready for the start of the season?

[/quote]Last year everyone slated Riera based on a handful of Citeh games, and i had watched him loads at Espanyol and went out to say he was a really tidy player. I got a bit hammered for it but to be honest feel vindicated. He is a good player in fact on his day he's excellent. I dont see the point in keeping my mouth shut when ive seen a lot of a player that others havnt just for fear of being slammed.
Aquilani is tip top and im happy to go balls out now.
I do hope hes given time to settle and get fully fit.
So happy.
 
I highly doubt we have payed £20 Million, it is prolly £16M with the potential to rise to £20M after add-ons. There's still articles that pop up now saying we payed £26M for Torres when we signed him, some people just love to inflate fees.

I think so. Thats one of the reasons I'm so excited about this as it means the CM issue is resolved, now we can get on and sort out an attacking player.

The maths suggests there's one more signing to come.
 
If he makes the position his, then we will certainly have more goals from the middle than we have had last season.


He is capable of hitting double digits. Will he stay fit?

9 goals in 102 games for Roma doesnt lead me to think hes capable of scoring double figures in fairness. Having said that i'm still excited, lets just hope he gets through the medical alright.
 
wheres the 60 games 5 years stat coming from?

According to wiki he's played at least 20 every year..they could well be wrong

That's me told. It did look like he had score a lot more than 9 from those you tube compilations. I didnt realize it was filled with all the goals he had ever scored.
